An Android from GOOGLE itself should not contain any RAM Management problem. Everyone thinks like that, so do I. It's a crime when unoptimized Android comes from Google Pixel.

nah... its ok , nothing perfect , it can be fix by update , even we got it after couple of month or years ....

its not apple .... if this happen to apple , we must gone rage , made lots of video like the world gonna end tomorrow , made fun of it at least 4-5 years , then we pray apple should fall !!!!!!

Oh, Google. Charging a premium and delivering substandard product? Except Camera and vanilla android, nothing on Pixels warrant such a huge price tag. Stop targeting iPhone market on your own Google, instead get back to the day where you partnered with major OEMs. Just partner with Samsung, Sony and LG and release vanilla OS version of their flagships, that will be lot better than building your own flagships, in which you are soo poor.

WickedWilly36, 23 Oct 2018I have yet to meet anyone who would say Samsungs UI is lagg... moreWell, usually people who use samsung rarely ever experience other phone ui/ux. More, the feeling of snappy in a smartphone is mostly "won't miss it until you feel it" kinda thing, and these average Joe rarely ever concern about smoothness(or the fact they turn blind eye coze' who want to feel disappoint or regret when spending lot of money for their "choosen" phone)
This snappy performance we enthusiasts, have long buzzing around, is significant to us because we have feel it through other phone, in short we see better thing out there

Xypleth, 22 Oct 2018I was thinking that the "new" Samsung experience is the sav... morei agree that samsung's ux is indeed laggy. i have been using exclusively samsung flagships for the last 8 years starting from the galaxy s1, and i really haven't noticed any of the lag they have been accusing of samsung. that's even when i was using samsung devices alongside iphones from 2011-2013. two months ago, my note 4 died and i have sold my note 8 and went to using razer phone 1, which has almost vanilla android. prior to it, my wife's galaxy s9 plus also had to be sent for service and i got her temporarily a xiaomi redmi s2. so, to sum it, we only recently got to test other uis. we got back my wife's s9 plus almost a month ago and we have been comparing it with our razer phone and redmi s2, and we can confirm this lag. the fact is my wife has switched to the redmi s2, an entry-level device, as her daily driver. i am looking forward to going back to samsung with the note 10 next year as i really am a fan of the s-pen, but for now i am waiting availability of either the razer phone 2, or i may even try the meizu 16 plus. samsung has the best displays and almost always the best cameras, but yeah, their ux is laggy.

So, like the past Pixel phones, it has issues with quality control.

Guess, my next phone will probably be the iPhone Xs then or the Huawei P30 (probably by early next year). No way I'm buying a Pixel 3 (especially from the grey markets where there's no official warranty) now unless Google fixes all these issues.

to be honest, for me, all "modern" phones are terrible, full of defects, non very functional and over priced, of course i won't buy a 2008 phone today, i have to use a relatively recent phone.
By now, i prefer dealing with over priced and laggy samsung devices. i've had bad experience with sony, huawei and asus,to be honest, i haven't tried lg, xiaomi and oneplus and some other relevant brands, but to be hones, i'm not interested in because of reviews, testimonials and of course, specs.

Ever since the current CEO of Google took over, Google has gone down hill.

Memory management has always been a problem in android.
That's why some OEM try to mitigate it with more RAM, that way it would look less "aggressive"...
