Not against innovation but LG should seriously give support for the existing devices a priority right now. They build great hardware, but their update timeline just sucks. I own a V30+ and there isn't even a beta in sight for android pie. Even the recently launched V40 doesn't ship with pie. They stamp out phones over phones, 4 different versions for a single model. But absolutely no update support. Some V30 versions don't even get regular security updates. And this was the last years LG flagship device we're talking about.

Here's what ideally I would want
- infinity display of S9
- audio jack + DAC of v40, g7
- camera setup (don't really care if it is dual or mono) of Pixels
- back to have glass sandwich design of iphone 8/x
- latest processor
- pure android skin
- 4/6GB Ram
- 2-3 OS updates + 3 years of security (monthly/bi-monthly updates)

Yeah i admit Huawei did not invent it, just like Notch that did not invent by the iphone. To be honest LG smartphones are really good, but got 2 main problems.
Updates & availability. When lacks of availability, lack of service support automatically comes in mind. At least in my country, not sure in others.

It's recognized as Huawei's signature because they popularized it, but they didn't create it, just like Huawei didn't invent jackless smartphones.

That is what the G7 should have been in the first place. I'm glad they are showing the headphone jack though. That's a major plus. Just slap an Android One OS on it and I will buy it immediately xD

I'm really happy to see these news. Thank God an OEM is keeping the headphone jack, fingerprint scanner on the back and no notch. Now if only they had stock android...

People now recognized the square patern camera placement as a beautifully design Huawei.
