LG patents new phone design with three or four cameras, no notch

It's a rather old-school design, but in this case that's a good thing. If you don't mind the fingerprint reader on the back, that is.

It's so interesting to see the dissonance between what the public seems to want and what is actually popular and most discussed. Take the number of comments here, for example. I think most will agree that the notch is hideous, and here we have a company bucking the trending, yet few people are flooding the comment section with praise. Only the notched phones get the attention, whether they be positive or negative, and so the companies continue to embrace what's most talked about. The same pattern had emerged previously with the size of smartphones. There was a very vocal group of users who complained that phones are simply getting too big and would like to have the option of something smaller without compromising quality and performance. Yet the trend was the same, only the outcries were expressed in the comments and articles of popular phones, and the little guys died. It makes no sense, but I guess Apple is right, you have to tell people what they want, not listen to what they want. Ridiculous.

    the notch is not so bad, it makes me feel that i own an iphone xs max when i see it in my pocophone :)

      Not la huawei.... Previous Lg x cam design was the first with that camera replacement

            I prefer this kind of design than the new phones with smaller notch or waterdrop notch.

              I prefer a design without notch but waterdrop notch style is okey.

                It will be nice to see LG going back G6/V30 designs. Notch free with great appeal!
