Samsung's fine was regarding the 2014 Galaxy Note 4.
An Italian court are claiming that an Android operating system update released in 2016 was not optimized for the Galaxy Note 4.
Samsung said in statement that it was disappointed with the decision and would appeal.
“Samsung did not issue any software update that reduced the Galaxy Note 4’s performance,” the statement said. “In contrast, Samsung has always released software updates enabling our customers to have the best experience possible.”

Even though a very large number of people including myself dislike Apple, your legit paying for the brand, the people who bought Apple products seriously wouldn't if they understood the specifications, however, Apple deserves a good clap for one thing.
The bionic chipset found in iPhones is by far the most powerful smartphone chipset in any phone, Helio had something with the X30 and P60, along with our beloved Snapdragons, but Apple you sleek masters, Your bionic chip deserves fame but we'll see how long it lasts..!

Just look Meizu 16 vs iPhone X on youtube! It's clear that SD845 super fast in real perfomance compare to A11. Look also Meizu 16 vs iPhone Xs and see how SD845 is on par with A12. But for the graphic perfomance, yes A12 is clearly ahead of SD845.
Benchmark is benchmark. Just look at real perfomance. Not just a benchmark.

Anonymous, 01 Nov 2018I am more impressed @ the Exynos doing well in Single core ... moreHmm apple chip only got throttled as you call it after battery degradation and they put in a simple to stop it crashing and to be fair all you have to do is replace the battery.. and it takes more than 1 year unless you smashing the arse of the battery by playing games on your phone 24/7 also depending on how well coded the game is to the power efficiency would I bet would be more efficient on iOS.. also Samsung got fined for this in Italy.. for slowing down phones..

I am more impressed @ the Exynos doing well in Single core operations. It's such a shame Samsung has to gimp their own chips to keep things similar to the Snap Dragon variants. Also whatever score apple has wil justl be temporary anyways since it will be throttled after a year anyways.

This time however, Apple have a huge advantage thanks to their -very late- implementation of lossless memory compression, something that has existed on every other gpu since who knows when.

Phones need to manage heat and battery consumption so it's logical for score to be lower.
