And saying more than once that iPhone XS does not bring to the table as much as it costs. Sure it deserves to be expensive, but how much expensive? I think Apple took things too far, and I would not be sad if I saw them collapse as result of such actions.

While LG had the responsibility to provide a good display, Huawei was ultimately the one that had to test if their product was in compliance with the quality standards of a 1000Eur device. Then, cheery on top, first reaction is that this crap is "normal". Even the back-paddle doesn't really admit the problem, let alone solve it.
Honestly, this is no cheap Chinese phone. It's right there next to other flagships in pricing.

Something you won't see on Mate 20.
I still do not know why this fetish for oled.
It has more contrast than reality. You can look at anything black you have at home, nothing is deep black. The icons of apps are colourful, if you use black wallpaper the contrast is higher which will lead to burn in faster.
It is useless to use black wallpaper to save batter, you spend almost 100% of the times inside the app.
Oled uses less power than lcd when image is majority black, but uses more when is majority white or any other colour. Lcd can be used at full brightness all the time you want, oled can't.
The only real advantage in the end is to be thinner and lighter.
MicroLED will kill the oled like oled killed plasma, while lcd will still be around.

Who's to blame here? Both LG & Huawei. LG for a non stop OLED issue (especially when come to curve edges), Huawei for thought that LG are good enough and weak on QC test.
Lets hope that Huawei can make a free replacement for affected phones. They said mainly they use BOE, LG screen only for backup. So likely its a minority issue.
