This is not good. A analyst report?!!? After watchin official sales report past Holiday season he's simply gonna smile shamelessly on his current move for spreading wrong publicity. Some people just cant handle their sh@t.
He should have used his rusty brain. Half of The sales target set by company will be a piece of cake, thanks to Loyal Nokia Fans. And rest half will by achieved by curious people or by the people who like to try anything new.

No offense, but this is one analyst from a small US based investment bank. Hardly a news worth a tech site?

For example Barclays Capital that is 200 times bigger firm and based on UK just reaffirmed that they believe Lumia 800 will be a hit.

I do understand that Lumia 800 seems to get a lot of attention and hits though, so I guess GSMArena just wants to push all the news it can? :)

The phone isn't even available in most countries, so how can anyone speculate on any targets. I pre-ordered on amazon.de and the whole batch they got sold out within a day! Now I am waiting for the next batch which should arrive next week. For all I know the phone sells like hotcakes.

My personal opinion is Nokia should better concentrate on developing symbian with its new versions CARLA n DONNA and also on MEEGO which made good sales compared to lumia. Symbian belle has something good in it compared to old versions. So Nokia should start leveragin their expertise in symbian.

i am frm india, phone to be launch in india soon...first to say abt phone is...in india price tag of phone very high compare to spec of the phone...no front cam is main draw back(only reason for me to step back frm this nokia both modle is no front cam for video calling)for this price in india we will get galaxy s2 in that phone modle and some other model in this price tag have more features than in nokia phone for indians money is not a problem but value for the money we should get frm the product, nokia may bring phone with front cam after 2 or 3 month with same price tag ,are people fool to buy this phone now, theses all may be the reason for nokia have gone ground in smartphone field, there was lot of expectation abt nokia coming with windows os and all.....all gone... :( ...finally to tell is nokia is, stop the phone bussiness and start peanut bussiness.

Nokia opting for WP7 will prove to be a costly mistake. Symbian/Meego are better than WP7 on any day. Numbers will prove it.Using N8 for over an year now... Still going strong.

of course, it will not meet the target. We have dual core phones in the market which shows phone are more hardware oriented to attract the youth and the improve speeed and ease of access. But nokia still lags behind in terms of hardware....................

No wonder... You have a amazing phone - the N9 with a amazing MeeGo OS (and Nokia don't need WP7 or Android!! Than they bring out a totally restricted WP7!!!!!!! :S
N8 is better than many of the new nokias...

so how on earth only 6 countries will make a difference and boost nokia's sales?? Everybody (with brain) should know that Q4 will be all about their symbian smartphones and a bit of the n9 (forget about the lumias, now we are in the second half of Q4 and the 800 is hardly hitting the selected markets with no words about the cheaper 710 which may help windows phone to overtake bada OS at least), those analysists have no brains and forget that nokia's "dying OS" is doing more than it is expected to do. Nokia is far from death unless WP8 dissapoint us then, nokia may die.
