Android and IOS the way forward? Oh hell no. I have an 800 and it is without a doubt one of the best handsets manufactured by Nokia. The hardware is second to none....iphone 4 users will know by having a phone embedded in glass does not protect the phone. The Lumia feels solid. As for WP7 - those who don't know how to use it would naturally dismiss it. Use for 3 months and see if it isn't the best OS on the market. And finally if the Lumia was as poor as the majority ofyou are making it out to be, then why did it win mobile phone of the year?

Nokia's major market yet to have the new phones.
lets wait till year end for much reliable news.

If Nokia was smart enough then they should keep the meego os phones alive and not "kill" them before they even arrive! Now if the WP7 phone fail to meet the sales they want, they don't have any alternative!

Even when they overpriced the N9, just to promote and give and advantage to Lumia 800, the customers preferred the meego phone.

If you know anything about the stock market you'd be well aware that the opposite is occurring - sales are through the roof. Wait for the official report, which should be released in about three months; trust me, it will leave GSM Arena and the Nokia haters with a lot of egg on their face.

P.S. I'll be buying a lot of Nokia share over the next few weeks

couldnt care less about an 'analyst'. I am getting one as soon as it becomes available in india. see how popular the phone is here:
                      http://www.bgr.in/2011/11/19/three-upcoming-iphone-4s-alternatives/

and with apple/carriers trying to bring the pathetic monopoly market system in india, i would hope to see them fail. we do not want carriers selling phones here!!
ps: selling phones for 1000$+ will only drive people to the grey market

We have a demo handset in the office here. The HW is fantastic for this phone, it functions smoothly and feels nice, but the Windows OS really ruins the experience. It feels clumsy and doesn't look like it can be customized much. Pity, because Nokia has real potential hardware wise!

I already own one and the mobile experience is just great. No more old fashioned icon grids or chaotic widgets all over several desktops. Performance of Lumia is amazing. Robot and fruit might have tons of apps but who needs all this stuff. Life is to short to. Concentrate on essential stuff as done with WP7.

Allowing details of the 900 to leak was a huge marketing mishap. A lot of people (me included) are now rather waiting for that to be released instead of buying the 800. Lets be honest. this is an awesome phone, but its nothing compared to the 900. At the same time they didn't properly plan a release cycle. Hardcore Nokia fans just bought the N9 etc. And they aren't winning many new customers because they are majorly out-marketed by just about everyone else.
