Battery life still hasn't improved at all during the last few years when the nm has been lowered. Companies never want to improve it. Wants us to keep buying another one. It's become their very own light bulb.

I wonder what they mean by "a distinct edition of S10 will support 5G".
A phone is a matter of few years... I can't afford to ignore 5G, given that 4G turned out better and cheaper than 3G itself...
All editions of S10 must come with 5G !!
Even earlier Samsung troubled us a lot with 4G, like Galaxy S5, S6 abroad came with 4G but not in India.... This is not appreciated.

Samsung evolution and revoluution kills.
Their research cost just too much they are shy to even ask the ordinary people what good for them what to improcve.
They just grabs lot of money implement what Samsung wants and believe it will sell.
And thus we have a tons of samsung things which noone wants and we have to pay loads of money for even basic things.
Just for example J4 prime for 150 euros but specs of 80 euros phone.

Same they didnt pimp s9 enough to make it more efficient. This cluster fck would be ideal so it wouldn't use those power hungry cores all the time..

Being fast has much more to do than what the aging geekbench and antutu tests can handle. It's not 2015 anymore.

SpiritWolf, 10 Nov 2018Actually, in real life usage, even SD 845 is faster than A1... moreOpening speed is one thing, and Apple's smaller cores are always being used to open them, and it's given already that their small cores are vastly inferior to the large cores, and even against the small cores of some budget level chipsets on Android.
App opening speed only determines how fast the memory can pull out something and how fast are the small cores of a chipset. My Redmi 5 Plus can also beat the XS Max at opening basic apps, but is it enough to say that the Snapdragon 625 is better than the A12 Bionic?? That would be very unfair.
The real test of power would be to process files and any types of heavily CPU-dependent tasks, and let's see if Androids could even match the A11 Bionic, let alone the A12 Bionic.

I suspect that their choice of using less silicons is to achieve better efficiency, but they could've simply invested more time and money to make the large cores more powerful, and in turn, might have less of them while still having similar level of performance all throughout the course.
If Samsung and Apple use ARM-based designed cores, then it rightly proves that Qualcomm is worst at developing a CPU core, with its computational prowess always being left behind the other 3 major competitors, and that'e pathetic for such a company who does nothing but mobile chipsets only (theoretically, they should have more time developing their chipsets since that's the only business that they're focusing on).
Going back to Huawei, I do understand that they're claiming their chipset to be faster than Apple's A12 Bionic chip in order to gain more customers, but why aren't they being fined for false advertising, despite the fact that they transparently showed how false their claim is.
