Samsung launches Exynos 9820 with 2 Gbps LTE modem and dedicated NPU

The chipset is based on the 8nm LPP FiNFET process.

      There's nothing new in the chip: Just a 2 core increase in comparison to Huawei...

                The custom CPU cluster is the real killer here. If the same level of improvement from Mongoose M2 to M3 transfers here, the custom CPU (probably called Mongoose M4) would blow any Cortex A76 core away. It's by far the closest to the Vortex cores of the Apple A12 Bionic.
                If it doesn't sound impressive enough, then I'll go by and say the truth; it defeats the Monsoon cores of the A11 Bionic.
                Still not convincing enough?? It's up to you on how to deal with it, but I'd rather kill myself than tell a lie. Trust me, I'd do that.

So this chipset continue is supremacy in single core count and should be faster in multicore too. Gpu will ne faster too, so it is faster chip, but probably not by much if you not count much higher single core performance.

Like Samsung's 98... moreWhat's weird though is that I read somewhere else that the 9820's maximum single sensor resolution support is only up to 22MP, it was weird at a glance but viewed together with the video encoder specs its even weirder.

                          On paper Samsung has the DSP, modem(this one's pretty funny because Huawei bragged so hard about it and Huawei started off a telecoms company) and GPU advantage compared to the latest Kirin, NPU and CPU remain to be seen and the scheduler plays a big role(where Samsung failed pretty spectacularly in the 9810 because the M3 was notable for throttling and a guy just fiddled with it for a little while and got 6% more sustained performance out of it), but the 8nm arch(which in terms of efficiency gains is only 1/3 the way from 10nm to 7nm) and A75 middle cluster as opposed to Huawei's A76 implementation put Samsung in a tight spot.

                              On top of usually being more power efficient, having better cpu, and far superior audio.
                              Except the s1 qualifying may have been a little better on cpu side and that was power vr gpu.

                              You have no idea what you are talking about. Just spreading false info in blind bias.
