    The 1+3+4 config is an idea I had like 2 years ago, I think it is great because it boosts single core performance and tasks that only need 1 core. Will be interesting to see when we hit 3 GHz.

There's no way for the display panel to create new pixels (like 2560*1440) since it requires a hardware change. Whatever you are doing is not making your screen to display at QHD resolution. It later downsizes your QHD video to FHD and displays it. You can convert it if only the display panel is capable of producing QHD resolution and the manufacturer has locked the resolution to FHD for some reason. But it would be a stupid decision to use a higher resolution panel since it cost higher to manufacture it.

I don't lik... moreI want to be clear that I'm not pushing specs to be considered as the main selling point of every device, but all I'm trying to say is that specs is what people would always look at when purchasing a new phone.
                    This is why Huawei and Samsung are very successful in advertisements, because they always have very convincing marketing, trying to make their products as if they're never been done before.

                    Marketing or not, an 850p display is still an 850p display, no matter how you try to look at it.
                    This would be a fine resolution, IF only the screen size was smaller than 5", where any resolution would look fine.
                    This is 2018 already, and it's very cheap of Apple to bump the resolution to 1080p. I always expect the worst from Apple, but I initially thought they'd be kind enough not to put a low resolution screen on such device.

                      I managed to get my old sony 5" FHD to display in QHD. But I can't take a screenshot as it seems it has a limited memory allocated for that.
                      I never said anything about apple or that prison called ios.

                        Finally, they don't slack anymore after beating A12 Bionic! Sure the graphics increase is gradual but why would they need to increase it so much if Adreno is definitively the best GPU alongside what Apple made. I'm looking forward for a HMD Nokia with Snapdragon 8150 because my Nokia 8 is starting to get old and will not be supported in October 2019.

                              The only thing that mattered is this chipset actually has better score compared to its competitors in phone's chipset market. You can say whatever you want but there's nothing you can do to change this fact.

                                    For example, you can make a Note 9 run at native 1440p, or run it at 1080p/720p.
