You can change the display resolution on android. In fact there are 2 settings for this, not one.
If you own a Samsung you can change the screen resolution from settings > display. The second setting is located in developer settings and it will change the DPI (density per inch).
Or you can do this on ANY kind of android phone through adb.
    Here's the code :
    "adb shell wm size 1080x2220"
    "adb shell wm density 587"
These setting numbers are mainly for the S8+. Use a display resolution calculator to find out exactly what resolution you can use. The DPI is for arranging how things fit on the display.
So, now you know. Stop spreading lies!
PS with adb you don't need root.

With that core configuration. How will mobile games run on that core configuration?

So the huge naming leap is worth it

bleh, who cares, BIG DISPLAY is right, all top end socs are over the top for what they are used for, remember, this is a phone, not a laptop, so exactly what do you all need so much grunt for ?? As for gpu, we'll sorry, but it's even less important than cpu, exactly what games do you think you are going to be running on you phone ? The only people that need/want grunt cpu/gpu are the 2% of us that use our phones as a palm p.c, where its expected to run full desktop software, the rest of you probably couldn't tell the difference between an sd 810 and an 8150.
As for display colour accuracy, we'll your all fooling yourself, as the same applies as above, you need trained eyes/brain to know what your looking at, so unless you have spent 7 years working in a hiqh quality print shop etc, then you are all spouting bs.. As usual, the smartest thing is the bit of hardware your all talking about, rather than the lump of meat carrying it around..

Why people care so much about antutu?

Remember 2015? When iPhone 6S was out and its score was 50000 ( below Snapdragon 810 and Exynos 7420).

                  Then antutu was updated... , S6 moved from 58000 to 68000, SD810 from 53000 to 71000 and iPhone 6S from 50000 to 133000.
                  How was that possible?

Kirin 980 is smoother in real life usage

I don't like people quantifying specs and totalling them as a measure of a great product. And that uneducated notion, my friend, leads manufacturers to make products that only blurt out the fastest and the highest, and not the smoothest and the nicest, because that's what most people buy: specs, not UX.

Score's not bad at all, beating other high-end chipsets of its level. My god, what is with some of these people down here in the comments? Attached to a freezer, like really? I don't know if it's jealousy but, all I can say is that this is just benchmark numbers, which doesn't translate to real life usage. Overheating on current high-end chipset is pure bs, it happens way lesser than what it is last time. If it were to overheat my smartphones would have died a long time ago lmao

I have seen hundreds of large 1080p smartphone screens already, and they all look slightly below average in sharpness.
Both sharpness and colors must go well together to form a great display.
And like I've said, on Android, there are ways to adjust the color temperature of the screen to achieve better accuracy, but there simply is NO fix for the miserable hardware screen resolution.
Don't worry, I don't hate Apple, but it's very clear that their decisions are unreasonable and too greedy on their part.
I'd even prefer if they released an iPhone 8 Plus-like design this year with similar hardware (and have A12 Bionic to replace the A11 Bionic).

All of you commenting Qualcomm makes bad SoC? How so they are at least consistent when it comes to thermals since the SD810 they made alot of changes. Would take Snapdragon over the Kirin any day of the week. Ofc Apple makes more powerful SoC but if theese number are accurate I'm impressed with Qualcomm they did a phenominal job. And all of you comparing it to the A12X dont its stupid it consumes more power and makes more heat thats why Apple put it in a tablet because it has a bigger battery and better heat transfer

CPU speed is fast becoming irrelvant, even in the mobile space. What matters is how user friendly and capable software is.

If you could only get out of the specs-only box, you would understand why a product is great when it doesn't need to be adulterated. Specs is nothing if the entire user experience is nothing to be desired of. You can read some industrial design / UX design books (real books, not pirated eBooks that you can load in an Android device), if you have spare time after drooling on woah-specs articles.

The Huawei antutu score about 308k when in performance mode.

Regardless we know S8150 will be released first in Samsung s10 in March, which is 6 months after the Mate 20 series released in October. And it is expected for S10 to maintain their slow real life performance and poor battery efficiency.

Have to wait for One plus 7 to see some good use of S8150 and that would lead upto May 2019. Good luck waiting.
