I totally disagree, becauase I have used 30 years mobile phones - always only the best ones, I travel a lot and need the the best of the best, so that's why I have three Huawei ones, or Huawei Mate 20 Pro, P20 Pro and Huawei Honor Note 10. I had 20 years Nokia, 5 years Samsung and now 5 years Huawei - and will not change, as I have tested them all and always stick to the best.

USA might do what it wants, but their policy is just to harm Apple and other US-competitors...but people and governments will resist such nonsense!
I have used 30 years always only the best mobile phones - 20 years Nokia, 5 years Samsung and now 5 years Huawei. My wife and me are currently using 5 Huawei smartphones because we have a lot of sim cards and travel a lot.
The US-policy just confirms that my wife and me have made a right choice - because USA is jealous and unfair - so that's why we are happy Huawei users, and will be until we find something better.... perhaps another Chinese brand? Or if Nokia makes a comeback?

They are just afraid of Chinese manufacturer's dominating in the world of mobile phones right now. American made isn't cheap and they are left behind now, clearly they are running out of ideas. Stupid notch, hopeless phones without headphones jacks.

You shouldn't do that .. It is NOT laptop MB .. you use heat and u are done.. if there is problem with MB on smartphone it won't be fixed maybe only temporary ..
I used Huawei since P6 and never had problems..
And about reverting colors u didn't change it in settings revert colors??

Any manuf. u buy product from or software MAY or CAN spy on you ! BUT u DON'T know when or who is affected.. and to be honest you as ordinary person u are not important u ar not interested (or us normal ppl) to be spied on .. they are interested in completely different ppl.. ;)

Maybe some bought them online from other countries like from China and they don't have warranty. Or maybe they bought them second hand online either way that does not concern me. What concerns me is that there is a high failure rate in Huawei motherboards while doing simple repairs. Im not saying they all fail, its not a 100% failure rate but many do fail. Recently I had 2 Huawei P8 Lite phones for repair, one had a swollen battery badly and it had October or something 2016 printed on it and I have no idea how can a battery swollen in only 2 years like that. It looked like a balloon and the other P8 lite has a working motherboard that displays strange inverted colors. I did a factory reset on it, had a look in settings, accessibility, inverted colors, negative colors, messed with the settings, nothing. I cleaned the board entirely with isopropyl alcohol and checked it on microscope camera for any physical damage, measured a couple of SMDs, nothing, all looks ok yet same strange colors. I even did a reflow on the entire board, still the same problem. Im telling you, their phones look good and all but their quality is total garbage. Not even cheap Chinese brands like Allview are that bad. When it comes to mainboard quality I think Samsung and Sony are the best. Iphones also have extremely durable boards. LG also have good boards, Nokia too.
HTC is also bad, not as bad as Huawei but still bad... failed mainboards which do not turn on, pink camera when low light on HTC One M7 etc so many issues with HTC also... Believe me I know what Im talking about, I'm a technician at my own GSM service!

Thats is definitely a massive blow for Huawei, and will seriously damage its brand. Can you trust Huawei founder as being Chinese Government man? I would definitely not

I dont have ... moreBut you have warranty for products, I agree that Huawei doesn't have great name in after sale, support though I am using their devices so far without major issues. I had once encountered Huawei made Nexus 6P with bulging battery with extended warranty from the store, they refused to entertain service claiming that it is a physical damage( whereas it is NOT the case), I had to shell out $35-40 to replace the battery and it started working ok after that....no motherboard issues while removing panels.
But Huawei probably discounts it's after sale support in its cheaper offerings which is why it is difficult for me to justify high prices of Huawei mobiles.
So far only time I have replaced or encountered issue was with Apple 4S in my nearly 20 years of mobile phones purchase.....
Most of them live up to the expectations

Let’s ban the USA. They’ve been really annoying lately.
There are more Huawei and Xiaomi phones in Europe than all (remaining) American brands. On a second thought, Motorola is Chinese now, so there’s only Apple left.

Nobody cares about what the US wants. There's no issues with Huawei devices at all when it comes to security. They're using their stupid trade war as an excuse to destroy Huawei!!! Huawei has been an integral part of mobile networks in Canada and we will not be bullied by such a ridiculously run country
