Sony only recently adopted the 18:9 aspect ratio, but its early 2019 flagship may tower above the competition.

Now I want you to give me a movie that's made in 18:9 or 18.5:9 or 18.7:9 or 19:9 or 19.5:9 ratio, and has a cutout on the left corner (when in landscape) for the annoying notch.

          The most important things for Sony to improve is the bezels and battery capacity and if they keep the oled screens, then i might consider returning

It's fine and it has the normal heft when you compare it with a lighter phone but that doesn't mean it is a brick and your overreacting to false allegations

                    I know the professional cameras have some noise in it.
                    All these people believe Sony's cameras are bad because they listen to the media that are paid and trash Sony whenever tries to do something new and beautiful and could make them come back to the market.

                    But I do really wish Sony does something wipes out the noise and make the pictures clear and I want them to do it on the hardware because it will be a first.

                      This phone is good for watching movie but not tv shows.

                        You have to choose between keeping real details or using more noise reduction .
                        You have to choose lower resolution and more speed or higher resolution
                        You have to choose between stronger HDR and blur free pics

                        Sony since xz2 is using less noise reduction, then those that dont understand anything about photos think is bad software story.

                        Not even a jpeg from A7R III is noise free.. This is the current best camera for sale.

                          Do you believe you can have optical zoom in 3mm thick cam module?

                          That is why the 1080p videos of Premium at night are centuries better than other phones.
                          That is how it can use iso6400 and provide better shots than iphone at iso500.

                              Honestly sounds like a terrible idea so far. It's pretty clear Sony doesn't know what to do with its mobile division.

                              But hey, triple cameras are a nice step up. Sadly one of them is probably going to be a black/white camera.

                                  Could be worse, be it for bezels or thickness or finish, remember that sslippery brick xz2premium? Its actually quite achievement to be able to do some phone so good and bad at once.

                                    BTW I forgot to say that the whole on the upper side of the case is to big to be a microphone whole so I say it's the return of the 3.5 mm jack port in the phone

                                      I wish Sony makes the third camera, a camera that enhances and focus on erasing the noise and brightens more the low light shots while including the high ISO.
                                      A telephoto lens isn't needed because bigger megapixels can zoom the pictures and give you a good results with a great software.
                                      So I want Sony to normal + monochrome + camera focuses or gets deep understanding to the pictures on big megapixels and small megapixels and that would erase the OIS from the equation since a lot of people think it's useful

                                        Personally, my preference goes: 3x Telephoto > Wide Angle > 2x Telephoto
