Android 9.0 Pie rolling out to the Xiaomi Mi A1

The Android One device is finally getting the latest OS version, FM radio support too.

And much like A2/Lite update, it's exclusive to only a few selected countries.

      This is because Mi A1 uses back-lit keys (Menu / Multitasking, Home, Back) in the first place to navigate the Android One UI. Xiaomi is UNABLE to implement gestures on their phones (e.g Redmi Note 4 on MIUI 10) which uses back-lit keys. It's NOT A SURPRISE if you don't see GESTURES as an OPTION on Mi A1 after Android Pie upgrade. This ALSO includes Xiaomi's custom implementation of the gestures.

      Pixel pill button & gestures just further makes the navigation of the UI MORE COMPLICATED than already easy-to-use software buttons / back-lit keys IMHO. Sure some may say it's easy to use once you are used to it.
