Whackcar, 14 Dec 2018Oppo is brilliant. Mate & OnePlus are impressive. Moto ... moreThere's only one way USB power delivery is better: It is meant to be a universal standard supported by many devices, but super vooc is propietary and only supports specific phones. Btw, warp charge could've easily have had 50 W charging since oneplus is owned by oppo but I think oppo won't allow it because it's one of their major selling points.

If wireless charge able to this, then say bye to usb type c ports and bring back headphone jack!!! Imo usb type c ports are fragile than headphone jack.

Well Samsung and Google phones are laughlable seeing them on the list.
Apple werent even included because its worse than a nightmare.
Even the euroopean problems with refugee arent that bad as apple charging methods.

Oppo is brilliant. Mate & OnePlus are impressive. Moto and Vivo are decent enough.
Pixel and Note are downright laughable. Google needs to get rid of that "Power Delivery" crap. Also, Samsung should at least upgrade to QuickCharge 3.0 at this point.
They haven't included iPhones, otherwise they'd be at the bottom of the chart.

King Jay Kay , 14 Dec 2018I don't understand, why does results vary for devices by di... moreHey man..........What you said isnt wrong.....but you should know that the super vooc charging dominates every other charging techniques till date......the one plus 6t mclaren editon warp charge too is fast but not as fast as the super vooc but faster than the vooc charging.........In youtube videos, the charging cable thqt they use may be different and maybe not of the same company as well.I checked many videos and it turns ot that most of them arent using the original cable for charging so that the makers of the video put a specific phone on the top of the list......But in gsmarena....they gave the most logical results..as the one plus 6t guarantees 40% charge in 20 mins.........and also fast charging like the one plus makes it actually retain the battery more as it allows the cirulation of the ions in the battery for a longer time which isnt present in many phones and the possible reason for huge battery drain too......the first 40% is fast charging....the next 10 mins to circulate the ions and the remaining time to repeat the above process again........I hope this clears your doubt abt this topic

TinyV12, 14 Dec 2018I am pretty sure that Apple manipulates shown percentage to... moreNone of my apple devices does that, but theyre not perfectly linear, as would be expected by measuring volts, since the volts and actual charge curves are not linear in relation to eachothers but rather form an S-shaped curve. If it was deliberate iphones and xperias wouldnt drop down to 40% as fast as they do, with S4 it was very obvious that it was deliberately kept above 40% untill it was near critically low, very different from xperia/iphone. Now im not sure about newer xperia phones since they havent been interesting the last 4 years but i had XS Max and have XS so i can say for sure that nothing is suspicious in new iphones, though they may use a compensation formula to make it more linear.

Fast charge reduce battery health, fact, period, proven numerous times, using outdated ruling tecniques like you did with your namecalling doesnt make you right, only outdated.

They are always slow in the beginning down to about 80-ish percent. Then they suddenly begin to discharge faster :)

Not true. The hotter the phone becomes ... moreSorry thats completely wrong. You need extreme temperatures, like above 90 celsius, before it is a big problem. The most damaging to a li battery is fast charge in very cold weather, a well known problem in Norway where electric cars need heated batteries to do fast charge in winter. Cars without this tech, like Nissan Leaf, take forever to charge in cold weather.
The only place hot enough to supposedly degrade li-based batteries is Phoenix Arizona where a lawsuit was filed against Nissan over degrading batteries, but on closer review it turns out that the real problem was 100% charge and not the high temp, reducing charge to 80% solved the problem in all climates.

I don't understand, why does results vary for devices by different tech enthusiasts all the time
I had seen certain videos not literature like this on YouTube and results were totally different
Not saying that new tech from OnePlus isn't fast it's insanely fast and rapid but it wasn't on top, last time when I checked across the board, PERIOD.
but when ever I see reviews of gsmarena they always differ and have conflict with other YouTubers
I don't know either they are doing this on purpose or the whole world across the board tends to bend the results
Guess what oneplus wasn't on top it was second to Huawei Mate 20 pro by split of second but it wasn't and that make sense because they provide 33.33% more power to almost 15% more capacity as compared to power input to battery size ratio, 40 :30 watt output to 4200:3700 mah battery, make sense ?

Worthless numbers, you need to remove the battery and measure its actual charge. The percent indicator on the phone itself is always manipulated (with the exception of Apple and Sony) to give the impression of a long battery life and to not make the user worry “oh i have to charge soon, lets panic”.
The good old example is the extreme battery percent of Galaxy S4, it would show a high charge fir a very ling time, then as battery neared empty the drain would speed up dramatically. In other words, on such a Galaxy 50% battery remaining was less than a sony with 25%.
Furthermore, whats best on paper is never best in real life, i wouldnt be surprised if Apples more modest fast charging is nearly as good in real life.

Not true. The hotter the phone becomes when charging, the lower the battery lifespan will be.
Oppo's Super VOOC and Oneplus's Dash-charge keep your phone very cool despite the high charging speed, so it is even better for your battery than the slow Samsung or Pixel which have very uncompetitive fast-charging solutions.

Absolutely loving this :D
Look how pathetic the Pixel and the Note did, how the mighty have fallen.
OPPO and Huawei have done a fantastic job at ramping up this technology, I am loving the fierce competition between the Chinese OEMs, they are pushing each other and WE THE CONSUMERS win!
I could not careless about their Sales OR their Profit, I just want the most technologically advanced phone at the time, and one major area is Charging amongst other things like SoC, Camera, Battery Capacity, AI Capabilites etc... And the Chinese OEMs like Huawei and OPPO are absolutely killing the game.
