Estimated Samsung Galaxy F bill of materials shows why it will cost $1,800

The BOM is around 65% higher than a Galaxy S9+ or an iPhone XS Max. Prices will fall over time, but not too fast.

      They are greedy as always.
      Brand new S9 cost 1000 euros and S9 plus was even more pricier.
      Now after a half year or let say 3/4 of a year brand new S9 in a Samsung store here in Slovakia cost 449 euros and S9 plus cost 549 euros.
      Where is problem???
      Dont tell me the cost of all components was lowered by half-
      It only proven how greedy is Samsung even after month the new theses phones was 200 euros less in price. For initial pricing.

        The problem is people dont care why it is gonna cost nearly $2000, they just wont spend such great amount of money. Foldable smartphones will dissapear as fast as 3D Tvs from the market.
        It is a desparate tey to keep the sales on high level as customers are already bored the same predictable smartphones every year.
        Unfortunately foldable smartphones is not the way of the future smartphones and it will end up in few years.

This is not the old form factor that is cheap to build with high specs and sell it with low price. This is different.

                  Samsung Galaxy F price is USD 2000 is for customer not for Samsung. The distributors, retail chain and other marketing chains share the 65 percent profit.

                  The smartphone actual cost is really low but profit share also goes to advertisement, retail chain, showrooms and many more.

                  Samsung smartphones price is generally high as they spend on both Advertisemenr and Research and Development. Apart from Mobile manufacturing they have Samsung Display, Samsung Semiconductor and many more. Samsung is so huge than we think. Samsung also own Harman and its subsidaries like JBL, AKG etc.

                          This will not be for everyone but for the people who want to buy a luxury phone then you can buy this instead. At least you will get a phone a tablet at the same time meaning a true phablet

                          To the guys who could make fun of the price and say this will lose, this will succeed and the future will be this phone factor so sleep on that :)

                            That's a massive profit margin. I honestly hope they put it down a bit even though they need to pay off all that R&D
