Too bad, Google had not nailed the phone features aspect of a phone. So many reviewers said the call quality is terrible on the Pixel 3.

The whole pixel 3 familie is overpriced and not worth to by. The best compact phone is the Xperia XZ 2 Compact it is also alot cheaper then all of those pixel phones.

I don't know if that's what you meant to say but it is what you said.
Its all part of their hype. Many people have believed they were number one at just about anything and everything for many years and most of it is bs.
They've always been up there in camera, but never actually number one. And you forget players like Nokia too. And don't use to have very strong camera game.

I wouldn't consider the S9, the Pixel 3 or the iPhone XS compact phones AT ALL. Just because the rest are mini dinner trays, it doesn't make these phones normally sized. Phones over 5" are oversized. No matter how thin the bezels are.

Should have also compared it to XZ2 Compact. Pixel had better camera and software, Sony has better battery life and overall look-and-feel. It's not easy to choose out of these two.

Agree with article. Loving my pixel 3. The whole thing is so stylish and I think it's great what they did with the back look and feel. The haptic engine is superb but enough to say after keeping watch on devices and the forum daily, it took a while to make a decision on a new device. I'm so glad I went for the 3. The compact yet large screen pixel it's just stunning.

The black crush and dark muddled midtones of the LG-made OLED killed this phone for me. I went back to the regular Pixel 2 which has better tones from dark to light and more accurate colors.
I hope GSMArena will consider adding black crush in their OLED ratings since so many phones are seemingly getting worse (the S9 screen is said to be worse than S8, for example).
