Punch hole vs notches - is it really better?

Id favour a bezel, over any notch or cut out.

    BOTH SUCK should bring back phones with minimal bezels:
    1. to keep the design uniformed
    2. having different notches/cutouts is a goddamn nightmare for developers/designers
    3. watch videos/gaming without blocking anything (it's an insult to the creators)
    4. ERGONOMICS - our HUMAN hands can actually hold and use the phone
    5. extra room for dual front facing speakers and possibly headphone jack

      If you think front camera is only for selfies than you are mistaken ,it's used for video calls too

        To be honest there's no difference with punch-hole and waterdrop notch. It's just a waterdrop notch shifted to the left and unattached to the body. The same amount of screen is still useless.

          Well GSMarena make a nice poll and i think you will see that more are for the punch hole.

              Huaweis punch hole on the view 20 js good because its small and out the way.

              Samsungs one on its upcoming S10 is ugly and big

                    People can still get phone with front camera, but if I had the option, I'd go without one.

                      Why do we even need bezel-less phones? Something like a Galaxy S8 is perfectly fine. Symmetrical, beautiful, doesn't need software modifications to accomodate for notches and punch-holes. The thing is pretty much 90% screen at the front. Focus more on foldable phones, not this nonsense! Now those will be revolutionary!

                          Holes are more ugly.

                            I don't mind the punch hole, not keen on a potentially larger status bar!. The water drop notch looks the best out of all the notches. Personally the design of my s8 is the best, love symmetry and balanced design.

                                    You've got to turn the phone with the hole to landscape in one direction only, else the camera looks up your nostrils.

However there is nothing for people, who don't like notches, holes or any other unnecessary cuts in the display area. I'd rather have a phone with no front camera, than with a notch or hole.
