Hey GSM. I was using the Microsoft Lumia 950XL up until about December of 2018. Loved that phone for all it's innovation and faults. I still use it as an offline music player as I have over 40GB of music on a card. I still love the camera it has, and I do occasionally miss the OS. It was simple, but very intuitive. It also became very customizable in the end. Alas, I bought a Samsung Galaxy S8+ for $400CAD used. I was planning on waiting until the S10 or the next OnePlus 5G, but as of right now, I'm sticking with the S8+. It seems to be handling the rigors pretty well, even with Microsoft Launcher loaded. Long live, love lost: To the Windows Phone.

It is difficult to part with such a simple and beautiful OS, I'm just in love with it. I am going to keep my L550 as long as the phone is operational.

I've owned a red Nokia Lumia 520 and i won't forget how much I've enjoyed it. For example, I still remember all the times that I've played Asphalt 8 in multiplayer with my cousin. I loved that phone!

Bad decision from MS, not everyone needs phone's with apps for everything. I have a Lumia 950, what I need is a phone, sms, web browser, and a email. All those things my phone have. I have a Android phone home, but on the go I like my Lumia, it's a beautiful OS, simple and fast. I will keep my windows phone as long as it works...

A windows Mobile Vintage Fan here ( Using Android simultaneously )

Had a Lumia 520 ( Brought back 6 years ago ) when totally new in market was lost , but eventually found it , & using it for simple daily things.

                  1) Microsoft 8.1 was quite good , WIndows 10 was all crappy ( WIndows 10 mobile was not wholeheartedly supported as windows was probably not sure by then , had lumia with windows 10 also which was sold)

                  2) WIndows missed / messed a big trick by being closed system , bluetooth was half supported , only Bling search support , there was literally no support for SD Card in WIndows 7 & WIndows 8 ( First version) , it took them WIndows 8.1 Denim to add full SD support with File Explorer ( Yes no File Explorer ) . I still remember using windows for just 15 days before shifting to Sony Android device. ( Memory used to be hogged by Emails 8GB used to be 1 GB in just 2 Gmail IDs ( It used to get filled up in 3 days time ) ,

                  3) with Windows 8.1 Denim mails are now downloaded to SD Card , WIndows was adamant on not supporting SD Card , i think that killed WIndows Phone as they were late to add SD Support , if ur memory gets filled up in 2 days whats use of 32 gb or 16gb internal my 8GB would be out in 2 days only on Gmail not to talk of Whatsapp. ( Hence people stopped buying WIndows ( Negative word of mouth ))

                  4) The Only positives , No Lags between few apps that remain , No lags in GMail sync to this day Android takes 2 - 4 minutes for heavy attachments ( OnePlus , Samsung usage ) whereas my VIntage Lumia 520 takes 1 minute , Sync to GMail is way way quicker than on Android. ( I used it now to only see Gmails & Here maps , navigation , though Google map is much better than Here now ) , Memory management is way better now with Denim update but as they say To Good To Late.

This late support for SD Card , this Crappy issues with Memory Management in prime days of Android ( 2013 - 2017) & iOS ( Which has excellent memory management ) Killed Windows , as i said i myself stopped using it after 2 weeks. Windows was comparing itself with iOS which itself is flawed as iOS was well set by then.

Windows 10 OS is good and easy to use. I like the way it is designed.

I'm an Android user so it doesn't concern ... moreI REALLY don't see why it's useless now.You really didn't used manny apps from the store because they were shitty anyway, they will recall your "free" clod storage you got with the phone (like they did with mine). The UI is staying the way it is,you still can make calls and send messages, and browser is staying the same.It is still same old boring windows phone like it was before and I even fail to see what possible could they update it with to make it a bit more interesting (yeah customisable UI and a REAL games and apps in the store would be nice but if they haven't done that by now...)

A year or two ago, fanboys were in denial that their fave mobile OS is dying. Even defending that apps in their store have grown in numbers.
