Exynos Galaxy S10 visits GeekBench, still behind the iPhone XS in single-core test

19 January 2019
Samsung prioritizes single-core over multi-core performance with its in-house chips and it's catching up with Apple.

people still compare proccesors even if they run diferent os.. i mean try to install android to the iphone see whats the result.. or ios to a samsung.. see how they perform.. till then thos things are just some random numbers that have absolutley nothing to do one with other.! diferent results on diferent os.. that`s not even close to a comparation! its more of a andoid is a heavy os like a tir car that carry soo much and go from contry to country .. and ios its just a small car with small boot space that works only from home to supermarket.. and u compare "look how smooth my car works." that not means the small car have a better engine

    AnonD-824731, 19 Jan 2019Agreed!Lol fanbnoys.

Back when androids were actually faster in bechnarks you were rubbing it all over ifans' faces.

The reality of the matter remains. Apple is still the fastest out there, and not even 6 more months of developments could change that. Glad to see that they at least trying though. Last year and the year before it were laughable. Fandroids pretty much in denial all over the place... Lolz

Nick Tagataka, 19 Jan 2019Let's just hope they don't screw things up this time around... more9820s gpu will definitely beat 980s gpu but will most likely lag behind 855s and a12s gpu.

It doesn't matter. as long as I can use it everyday.

Let's just hope they don't screw things up this time around. Exynos 9810 and its custom M3 cores were mediocre at best compared to Snapdragon 845 in terms of both performance and efficiency, and with Huawei catching up on the rest in the architecture Samsung is now facing even tougher competition than before. I wonder how the GPU performance would go though.

IDK but Exynos sometimes is weaker than Qualcomm in some benchmarks. But in real life, i don't see any differences.

Wow. They didnt catch up even when a12 barely had any improvements to cpu. Let’s hope that a13 doesnt come with 8 cores

Now imagine if Qualcomm also did something similar, and only took a few inspiration from ARM's design instead of slightly modifying Cortex designs and put Kryo names on them.....

Who cares about these silly pointless scores, your phone isnt operating any faster in day to day life with any flagship, u cant get faster then instant like most devices are nowadays, my note 9 may not be the highest scoring device out there or my mate 20 pro either but geez they are pretty darm impressive devices regardless of their scores

Like a 2 second difference in speed is going to make a difference in real world usage.

Why is not Sony XZ4 present in the top? It scored 3497 in single core and in multi 12801, which, comapring to other 855 devices, is a behemoth.

Ahh definitely no one will beat the Apple A12.

When comes to performance A12 and any above apple chip will be always better when comes for CPU and GPU for gaming Apple chips will be obsollete due to bad cooling and throttling.
Playing fortnite or any FullHD or 4K game on a cell phone with IOS will have same result like to put your apple phone into a microwawe oven set heating to max and run the over for 30-60 minutes.
