What if I want the SD version but I live in Europe, will it work? I'm thinking of importing an unlocked S10+ if it works!
My carrier uses GSM bands 900 & 1800 and UMTS band B1 (2100). I may be wrong but that's what FrequencyCheck was showing.

Probably another huge chip which besides Geekbench will not even be on apr with Snapdragon 675 (efficiency and workload).
Deciding on A75 cores leads me to believe M4s will only be enabled in Benchmarks.

I have a feeling that we're not getting any progress in terms of actual usable performance.
Fine, you bumped up the GPU, now you're going to burden it with 4K that too at HDR10 !!?? FullHD is 2 megapixels, 4K is 8 MP!!
And most people don't even realise what HDR10 is. Let me tell you, a common display is 2^8 colors of each sub-pixels, that means 256 color of red, blue and green each. Multiplying them we get 256^3 = 16.7 million colors.
An HDR10 display is 2^10 per color, which means 1024 variations of each color, which means almost 1 billion colors.
Now, won't that burden the GPU as well??

AnonD-454049, 25 Jan 2019Even third last would be fine for you since all you use is ... moreAnd you need the best GPU for important work on a phone?
I'm sorry for you, if the only apps you know, that don't require a powerful GPU, are social media.

The last Oracle, 25 Jan 2019Thanks for sharing. While the 9820 looks like a good proces... moreFirst of all Andrei Frumusa is an former Imagination Technology Engineer and he worked on GPU's back in the days they had a strong drivers division. So nothing to do with CPU design at all. Somehow all who tried to make costume designs of referent ARM cores did a bad job. Apple did the best but still misses when it gets to the power drowe on given lithography. Samsung & NVIDIA did the worst Kamel & Mongose core's are far behind in efficiency. Qualcomm didn't do good either the L4 system wide cache eats a lot of silicone, makes additional latency and slows the things down, Folcor core's where good (last year) but A76 gives similar performance while being smaller and more power efficient. This Exunos is by far the worst one ever. Looks like we will have to wait for ARM to introduce SVE SIMD's and optimise SIMD instructions along with feed to the blocks, ARM whose also very slow to understand that it badly needs it (Fujitsu helped a lot). Next step should be doubling the ISA width but all do that is simple to do regarding hardware it needs compiler support which takes time & money (this is what I actually think Apple did already). Introducing fast micro switches (ASICS) for the computing blocks is supplementary method. Finally introducing much faster and wider RAM solutions is also a high booster for all parallel processing blocks while primary gate count should be trimmed for nonsenses vendors have been adding for years & optimized for cost & efficiency. So far all vendors showed a very little regarding pushing into right direction and innovation.

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2019So, no 4K 60 HDR because exynos cannot. if the 4k recording is capped lol imagine 8k, only 4 seconds
