A worthy successor to the Redmi Note 5 AI/Pro, which dominated the sub-$200 budget segment for much of 2018.

      Figures from Xiaomi's Q3 2018 earnings

      Total revenue: 130 billion yuan
      Ads revenue: 3.2 billion yuan

So ads accounted for a miniscule 2.5% of their overall revenue.

If they're pushing ads non-stop on over 224 million active MIUI devices worldwide, as some folks on here keep insisting, they'd be making much more from ads than this.

I've been using Redmi note 5 Since August'18.I am facing a issue that I've never faced before.
Screen Looks much more dull in Green colour,I am very happy to see Red looks very gradient but Green looks very dull than any other display out there!
Could you guys Inform me about that how does Green colour looks in Redmi note 7 display?

Anonymous, 30 Jan 2019I don't understand the need of putting ads in UI. I do not ... morethey sell their phones In a lower price, ads is for additional profit of the company. and once again u have all the options to disable them.

This sensor is meant to improve low light performace, by combining 4 pixels into 1 it gets bigger pixels, wich means more light. Xaomi did the same thing with the Mi A2 (2 pixels in 1) and it worked. You can't expect a sub 200$ phone to take high quality 48Mp pictures, not only the sd660 is not capable, but also the sensor used here isn't the same flagship 48mp sensor that we're going to see in some 2019 flagships like the huawei p30 pro (maybe the s10+ too), even then you would need optimal lighting conditions because of the small size of the pixels, until these companies figure out a way to include bigger sensors in smartphones.

I do not think any company has ever done that except Xiaomi. I agree that their phones are good but putting ads in UI itself sounds like the whole UI is compromised. Who know what else they have embedded in their UI!!

Its stupid how they went all screen on top but there is huge wasted space at the bottom. This phone would be good if they went all screen not just at the top to copy other brands.

Guys, Does it have LED Notification Light?

Strange as my 808 can shoot 38mp pics (without any quad bayer gimmick) having only single core 1.3 GHz Texas Instruments 4377622 ARM11. True, it has also dedicated camera processor but guess 2 them together are like 50x weaker than 660.
