Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 in for review

Does the 13 MP front camera have anything special?? Or is it only an ordinary 13MP??

    This phone doesn't actually take photos with its full resolution 48MP camera. SD660 can't even process that. This phone uses pixel binning wherein it clicks 4 photos at 12MP resolution and process them together in order to get an output with better contrast, saturation, detail and less noise.

    Currently there is only one phone that can take photo at full 48MP resolution and that is Honor V20, thanks to its Kirin 980 SOC.

On the other hand, this makes easier for gcam port to do its job since its camera API only spits out images in 12MP. I've already seen reviewers/Youtubers getting gcam working on this phone and the improvement in low light performance is simply staggering.

                    hi gsmarena..am excited about the large pixel camera since lumia and pureview..so hope u can do a thorough review on the camera segment.. plus is there a chance in the future to see a xenon flash light on a phone considering large battery capacity nowadays.. really miss the era of sony ericsson cybershot. thanks..

                      Hey GSMArena, can you test durability of this phone, yes we saw lot of videos, but thats maybe fake. Because someone says that back glass is not as premium as glass in old Mi5 Xiaomi, or even that is not a glass at all but some plastic, also it seems that frame is not metal, but plastic.

                        The notch of Redmi Note 6 and Poocophone F1 are too wide, so the notification icons did not appear next to the clock. Since a software update, they just flash for a short time and then disappear. Redmi Note 7 notch is smaller, what about displaying notification icons? I hope the situation is better, because there is more space between the notch and the clock.

                                Audio quality test is the most important thing to see especially through headphone jack

                                  Yeah mate, SD660 can only do 25MP Single Camera. IDK how this phone could take true 48MP but I am sure that the 12MP resolution is true but the 48MP image in professional/manual mode is kind of sketchy if given that these features exist.

                                    Indians want Redmi Note 7 Pro 128 GB version. Come on Redmi, give it to us!

                                        Please test its charging with Q.C 3 and 4 both chargers.
