So it makes it ok for them to have really taken steps back in their capacities which in real life show it could definitely be better.

6.5 inches... Is there going to be an XZ4 Compact, and will it be "only" 6.0 inches?

          Phones are getting too big...

did SD855 support 21:9 aspect ratio screen?

Anonymous, 31 Jan 2019This is just an upgraded version of XZ3. Welp ugly. You know, like the S10 is an upgraded S9, which in itself is an upgraded S8, which is an upgrade S7, which is an upgraded S6 and so on

And people still buy them like wtf?

BrendonF, 31 Jan 2019Probably the price. Lacking 3.5mm jack as well but to be fa... moreI recently got XZ3 and pricewise it is better as compared to Samsung.

Samsung have big discounts recently on S9/Sp+... because S10 is coming but still you can get XZ3 for under £600 (sim-free) or £30/month, not bad.

Best thing is that its already on Android P and received latest Android security update 2 days ago. To pretty quick to update with security updates. Happy days

Is it April 1st today? 🤮

That's something positive from Sony side of things.

Hxhx, 31 Jan 2019Youre speaking like battery management is a bigger factor t... moreManagement does play a significant role when it comes to similar battery size. Pixel 2XL had terrible battery management issues in the past despite having 300mah more than XZ2 and 200mah more than Note 8 it still can't last as long as them. What's even more freighting is that P20 Pro has 4000mah batter yet it lasts only about 10% more than XZ2 or S9+

Sony's unobtrusive battery management is good for about 300mah in other manufacturers battery capacity who don't bother to optimize the battery performance.

Hxhx, 31 Jan 2019Youre speaking like battery management is a bigger factor t... moreI see your point, however you should keep in mind that in the exact same way that a great camera sensor does not shoot great pictures by default (Sony is an example here as well, they provide sensors for most flagships out there but fail to impress with their own devices photos) a huge battery does not guaranty best battery life. Since the discussion is about smartphones and not PCs, yes SW matters when it comes to power management. You can check it yourself actually by simply comparing two devices with similar battery capacity from different manufacturers.

Good job sony on the battery capacity. Hope the next upgrade will be at 5000 mAh and reverse charging :D . Please don't skip on the compact

Lyndino, 30 Jan 2019Didn't HTC force you away with blah phones? No, its UK carriers who are at fault.

HTC U12+ is my choice, but I am unable to get it on monthly contract with any UK carrier, hence only other option was to use Sony. Not fan of Apple and Samsung and hate the notches.
