As I mentioned, I know it is an extremely pricey device, but most probably it will not remain up there. As the tech evolves and matures both software and hardware wise, as well as competition from other players (we'll see many of them in just a few days) the price should eventually come down. That said, on introduction Samsung referred to it as a 'luxury device' more often than not.
If you watched the unveiling, Samsung showcased a few nifty tricks this device could offer. Plus there could be a million more creative and practical uses even Samsung itself has never imagined about. In like, say, 5 years, mobile components will be terrific. Think the flagship Snapdragon today (the 855) and five years ago (the 801)- how much we have come. Think 5 years from now. Think camera sensors, think fast huge storage systems.
This device could be an all-in-one solution to all our tech needs. A single-hand texting device, a large screen multimedia device, a full-blown gaming device, a workstation, a photography tool, a data storage device and so on all the while still being the same old phone basically.

If that is a 7 inch screen that person in the pictures has small hands. There is a reason 7 inch screens aren't on tablets any more. They were too small.

I couldn't/wouldn't use this device if I was given it for free. A couple inches of extra real estate wouldn't improve **** compared to say, a six inch phone. I can't figure out what these other people are going on about. Just forced to praise something?
PS. Those wallpapers though. Try hard at hiding the bezels?

The bummer is it doesn't have a headphone jack. Boo! It gets annoying. Wireless headphones is going to destroy battery life. The lack of a microSD slot is no biggie if it has half a terabyte.

This is the greatest mobile product Samsung has ever announced. Better than the first Note or S6 edge. This is really going to change everything. Love the Willy Wonka music in that promo vid.
