Sony's OLED screens are eye-popping but without going too much, while Samsung now looks bland in comparison.

You can't tell that Sony isn't popular as the reason why it's not highlighted, because this is GSMArena, and Sony commonly gets the highest number of feedbacks from the readers in this site.
The XZ3 is probably the most perfect OLED screen in a smartphone today, but that is if thd Xperia 1 or any new phone is superior.

No matter of brands, no matter of display type, as long as my eyes and my use of the phone are comfortable, I do not mind about the burn-in issue or any issues. I realize that I can not use the phone for a whole of my life. I may change it everytime my phone is unusable.

Dxomark also allegedly takes money for better camera reviews, but at least they evaluate a wide variety of products unlike DisplayMate which literally only tests Samsung made displays (Samsung, Apple & Google Pixel all use Samsung made displays).
I'm talking about credibility, which DisplayMate doesn't have any.
I hope my point is crystal clear.

And no. Sony never proved to be the best display. By scientific measurements it was not the best. The only test that claimed it best was some random viewing test where some people said they preferred it.
Yeah....yet here you are talking bad on displaymate while making claims like that.

Not all roses. The AMOLED's weakness is it's pentile/diamond configuration. Images or text are not as sharp as my old Nexus 5's display.
My eyes are not sharpest as I'm now in my 30s, what more for younger people

Shanti Dope, 05 Mar 2019You talk as if there's a major difference between Super AMO... moreSony admits that OLED display on Xperia 1 cannot display true 10 bit colours, but rather it's a 8 bit panel with 2 bits of software color smoothing that enables 10bit-like rendition of color gradation. Dynamic OLED should be in the same level, capable of reproducing 10 bit colors, but of course it's Samsung Panel so it goes brighter and should be more color accurate.
