If my knowledge is right, the Pixel 3's display is similar to the one used in the Galaxy S7 series.
Of course Samsung won't sell better products to their competitors, but Google might've really just used Samsung's own displays much better.

I want an absolute confirmation, because AFAIK, they could supply their own devices with their own sensors, and I don't see the need to utilize sensors from other brands when theirs are clearly superior and always ahead of the competition....

Luxor, 05 Mar 2019This comment section is cancer. Keep talking about how bad ... moreYou talk as if there's a major difference between Super AMOLED and Dynamic AMOLED in just a generation of upgrade LMAO.

Super AMOLED from the very first Galaxy - 8-bit and could only cover 8-bit levels of colors
Super AMOLED of S8 to Note 9 era - 8-bit with capabilities of upscaling to 10-bit
Dynamic AMOLED - a bit higher than 8-bit, but still below true 10-bit standard, but with greater capabilities of upscaling to 10-bit
LG's P-OLED - TRUE 10-bit, great examples are the LG V40 ThinQ and Sony Xperia XZ3

Wow all these people saying its a paid testing because the AMOLED looks yellow don't know anything. It looks yellow because its color accuracy is very high, other displays have a blue tint and have very high color deviation. Even Iphone Xs has a slight yellow tint compared to older IPS displays(which used to be displaymate's highest rated display until Note 9 or S9 came out). Please check GSMArenas own lab tests before spreading BS and accusing people of being paid shills lol.

DisplayMate is a joke though. They give the best rating to the newest Samsung & Apple phones. They don't even test other brands (yes they tested pixel 3 last year, but testing just 3 brands out of so many is hardly credible).

I mean how can you rate a product the highest when you don't even test their competitor products. It doesn't make any sense.

Display Mate is crap, they don't test Sony Xperia devices. Last year XZ3 proved to be the best display but DM ignored it.

This comment section is cancer. Keep talking about how bad superamoled is but this article is talking about Dynamic Amoled. Do you people even see it in real life before judging?

Anonymous, 05 Mar 2019I give the Galaxy S10's display its lowest praises (F)Wow! What s helpful and insightful post!

I just looked at the S10+ in the retail shop!! It is really amazing product though I am not intended buying it now or even little later...but the display is like real think and amazing brightness (in the retail mode) and vibrant colours just peaking through Gorilla Glass 6, though it may look plastiky, when you carry it, it is actually really reassuring with its build which is really pasted like a single component sleek slab...the front camera awesome, especially in the stores lighting, the selfie image quality is really really awesome! I feel those who are upgrading from S6 or even S7, can blindly go after this amazing one.

So if I got last year's Galaxy I would also get display mates highest display ranking.

People are brainwashed by tech reviewers that OLEDs are prone to burn in. This is only true for first generation OLEDs. Especially, samsung's OLEDs are best quality, I've never seen samsung made OLEDs burn in. LCDs are also susceptible to burn in too. Some cheap LCDs even burn in 10x more than OLEDs. My XZ1's LCD burn in after 3 months of normal usage. My sony bravia LCD also burn in after 3 months. If anyone don't want to have burn in screens, stay away from sony products at all cost. These are cheap panels, even xiaomi's panels are better.

So S10 has color management after all - "The Galaxy S10 Natural mode has ICC Color Management that automatically switches to the appropriate Color Gamut for the current on-screen content."

Looks like that Sony to cut costs is using Isocell and Exmor.

                                        1) main cam of 10+ is exmor, but tele and selfie are isocell.
                                        2) ultramwide and tele of 1 would be isocell too.
