Sweet, I might actually buy this new Mini. I've been looking for a decently fast small tablet, and this seems to be it.

I should've been more patient last year. These new models looks enticing.
Pencil Support is always a welcome addition, I would love to write and draw on that small form factor. Here's a hoping for smaller-bezel consumer-level iPads!

Why no new emojis? Where’s the innovation gone of Apple?

Certainly not into the presented hardware.

Look at how big the bezels are on the mini compared to its screen size.

  • iPad Mini 5 Cellular

Can you make phone calls out of the box with the Cellular version of the iPad Mini 5?

You can get unlimited minutes and texts for £5/month plus £1.25/GB of data with Smarty.co.uk in the UK. With the data you only pay for what you use. So if you use 0.4GB of data in one month, you only pay £0.50. If you don't use data, you pay £0.00 for the data, ie. nothing. It's a PAYG deal so no contract with the associated out of allowance bill shock that you get with contracts.

So the iPad Mini 5 cellular model really does need to come with the ability to make phone calls out of the box. It would be a waste to use a Smarty.co.uk SIM if you couldn't use the unlimited calls and minutes.

So does this one still come with the bent frames? Lol

"Who wants a stylus?" Jobs said while introducing the iPhone in 2008. "You have to get 'em, put 'em away, you lose 'em. Yuck! Nobody wants a stylus. So let's not use a stylus." And he hate smartphone with screen larger than 4 inch too with too many other thing of other brand's of smartphone features...and after that apple always suprise the world with using features that they hated before...like phablet large screen, Oled screen, fast charging, wireless charging, multicore cpu, 4k video, usb otg, wifi file sharing, multi tasking.... ,and now apple pensil! Why not any one of old haters care?

goto, 18 Mar 2019keep recycle off-shelf part, look so outdated in 19' smhIf design is all you care about, you have to spend up to the iPad Pro. But from a rational standpoint, the iPad Air is fine for its price, same for the mini. Only thing that might be missing here is the 120Hz display, but for that price, you can't have it all.

Meh. Still don’t really see anything which would make me want to upgrade from my Air 2 from 2015.
