Due to some reason I sold it but I wanted back n now new version is available... Whatever people says but it's remarkable handy, not too much bigger n screen is gorgeous... Without using such iPad, u can't tell that which one is gud... I'm waiting to buy in india... I don't knw when it's going to be available....

              Anonymous, 18 Mar 2019Why? They do the job. There's no competition.TL;DR==> Competition exists, no reason to not buy an older gen iPad or upgrade if you already have one. Did not require so much time to unveil such a, well, normal product.

              Long: There is my friend. I direct you to the Galaxy tab s5e. the 6/128GB version costs $499, has a brilliant SuperAMOLED display, a very fast(though not close to A12) SD670 which frankly is more than enough for 90% of the people.
              I am also accounting for the usual goodies that will come with it being Samsung i.e. expandable memory, thin and light (5.5 mm!), headphone jack, DeX experience etc. Also, it is a well-known fact that even though iPads have recently gained split-screen multitasking, it is the Android which is overall superior in productivity/multitasking.

              Also, I should point out that regardless of Apple wants you to believe, tablets are usually directed towards content consumption. And a taller aspect ratio like that of S5e is much more suitable for that.

              Even the more powerful S4 with an included S-Pen is going for $549 on many sites.

              I agree that as far as the tablet ecosystem is concerned, iOS is right now the winner. But that does not mean coming out with a drab product after several months. There is nothing(including the price), that will make me consider this over the older iPad Pro 10.5 with its 120 Hz Puremotion display(in fact, I already have it). A product should not only consider the competition, but it should also make EXISTING users COMPELLED to upgrade, strongly. That wow-factor is what is lacking with these launches.

                                  This is not exciting. Apple should have come up with something to make the new products stand out. Instead, it is just a rehash of existing iPad components, perhaps lying unused in the corresponding manufacturing facilities.
