Clearly despite what the review says it still obviously in logic and results takes at least decent shots still.
And it's not their point system actually always represents real life.
Like putting the 1020 equal to the note 2. And the 808 might lack dual pixel focus and higher dynamic range while scoring way lower than cams today. But go use one and then come back and tell me you didn't prefer it over a newer phone in a huge variety of photos.
But yes. Clearly this is showing what we all knew. Sony is bombing... Purposefully. And their users will defend them to their last breath.

I am using xz3, and it has better detail then note 9 in daylight and very good result in night, why yhey test this phone at that time.. Totly wrong, not that bad as dxomark mentioned

Just wait until Xperia 1 to come out, hopefully it will come with significantly better cameras - because it's really promising this time around.

Shui8, 22 Mar 2019I think they announce the late score on purpose, dont want ... more1) you should not expect at night XZ3 at iso800 to outperform iPhone or Pixel at iso250. It is stupid to compare different settings. Not even point and shoot pocket cams are done this way.
2) pixel size does not matter. Myth created by tech android sites. Huawei phones do not do binning in good lighting, still have hardware advantage. Google traded 12.2MP 1.55 for 12MP 1.4. Same for HTC. Also the Full Frames with high resolution provide better IQ than those with 24 or 12 MP in any condition.
3) stacking to not prevent blur. At night stacking does 1/8 or 1/4s. You need 1/16 or faster.
4) HDR of Sony does not show up all the time, landscape mode does often.

See, it looks like sony brought many stuff others dont. But the fact is.. Its only a fancy naming. Others never trademark their software, there are some vendors uses shappire glass for their camera lenses but they even dont bother to name their lens. Dont get fooled with fancy naming, its there to make it sound good, sometimes its there to cover the badthing. Remember when they used plastic lens? They put a bold G lens letter there.

[deleted post]It always happen because its camera is always bad. I have several recent sony flagships and these are not on par with galaxy note 4 in low light. I good light though it is as good as note 4 but crushed by s7 and later generation.

Also the reason why I don't even consider Sony smartphones in the very first place. It's camera department has been bad since the very beginning. Look at how others competitors like Samsung, Apple, and even the Chinese brands have their cameras improved over the years, while Sony is still so bad with its post processing. Being a supplier for camera modules to other brands while they themselves having such bad processing algorithms is a big joke!

I don't believe this test ,I think they are about money from big companys and I guess Sony did not paid ...
I don't understand why premium xz camera is better for tham when it's the same and little bit refreshed...
