100W on the new Xiaomi TurboCharge device is going:
0% - 10% (200 mAh per min) = 400mAh in 2 minutes
10% - 90% (290 mAh per min) = 3,200mAh in 11 minutes**
90% - 100% (100 mAh per min) = 400mAh in 4 minutes
**this is the important part here
...Basically it now takes you 10 MINUTES to charge your phone!
This performance is identical to Intel ThunderBolt 3 / USB-C PowerDelivery Maximum schematics.
I would give up Wireless Charging, and Portable Power Bricks for such Charging Performance. And it alleviates battery life concerns, if this can be achieved from other charging sources like a running car or a large power brick. Basically, you can FINALLY say good bye to removable batteries (if the device is easy to service). Samsung Note4 and LG V20 owners can rejoice!!!
50W - Oppo's SuperVOOC (FindX Lamborghini)
0% - 10% (113 mAh per min) = 340mAh in 3 minutes
10% - 90% (136 mAh per min) = 2,720mAh in 20 minutes**
90% - 100% (38 mAh per min) = 340mAh in 9 minutes =
(aka SuperDash on OnePlus 7)
40W - Huawei's SuperCharge 2 (Mate 20 Pro)
0% - 10% (105 mAh per min) = 420mAh in 4 minutes
10% - 90% (93 mAh per min) = 3,360mAh in 36 minutes**
90% - 100% (17 mAh per min) = 420mAh in 25 minutes
(I won't comment on Huawei's SuperCharge 3, which is coming in late 2019 for the Mate X as a 55W Charger. So that is yet to be tested/verified)
20W - OnePlus' Dash (OnePlus 6)
0% - 10% (66 mAh per min) = 330mAh in 5 minutes
10% - 90% (46 mAh per min) = 2,640mAh in 58 minutes**
90% - 100% (18 mAh per min) = 330mAh in 18 minutes
(aka Oppo's VOOC on Oppo R11)
18W - Samsung Adaptive Charger (S10 Plus)
0% - 10% (68 mAh per min) = 410mAh in 6 minutes
10% - 90% (47 mAh per min) = 3,280mAh in 70 minutes**
90% - 100% (12 mAh per min) = 410mAh in 35 minutes
15W - Generic Fast Charger (Moto G7)
0% - 10% (37 mAh per min) = 300mAh in 8 minutes
10% - 90% (36 mAh per min) = 2,400mAh in 67 minutes**
90% - 100% (8.1 mAh per min) = 300mAh in 37 minutes
5W - Apple Charger (iPhone XS Max)
0% - 10% (16 mAh per min) = 317mAh in 19 minutes
10% - 90% (17 mAh per min) = 2,540mAh in 151 minutes**
90% - 100% (10 mAh per min) = 317mAh in 31 minutes
30W - Apple Fast Charger USB-C (iPhone XS Max)
0% - 10% (63 mAh per min) = 317mAh in 5 minutes
10% - 90% (49 mAh per min) = 2,540mAh in 52 minutes**
90% - 100% (14 mAh per min) = 317mAh in 22 minutes
(charger sold separately, cable sold separately, total kit is expensive)
Hope you find these figures helpful !!!

AnonF-85937, 26 Mar 2019Have you actually used a phone with Fast Charging above 18W... morephone charging temp is also affected by the environment, if you are in a cold place of course it wont heat up much, but if u are in a tropical country then good luck to ur battery. I personally own a aukey 26800mah PD power bank and during the 2.4a charging time it didnt heat up as much. good luck in controlling the temp for a 5a charging current and more than 5v voltage. phone charging is always fast at the 0-50% because they maintain voltage but increase current, after the 50% mark the current starts to drop which makes the charging slower, if you wan to go around fighting physics well then be my guest, because Li-ion battery tech hasnt change much since it was introduced. The qnovo lg and sony using is also apply to electric car. qnovo will not survive if it only make business in smartphone, stop being such a frog in a well and start learning stuff.

Everything is getting so convenient these days. I remember the old days when it took like 3-4 hours to fully charge the phone, Then 2 hours. Then 1.5 hours. 1 hour. 30 minutes. And now this... It is the ideal solution to travelers. Just top up your phone in 5-10 minutes & move on. This is the kind of tech that deserves appreciation.
Meanwhile there are a bunch of haters hating it based on speculation or those who think it's unnecessary. Well, just because something isn't appealing to you doesn't make it any less useful to others. Appreciate innovation, that is all I'm saying.

It's very interesting when people come to Bash great features, like when Apple fanboys Bash more RAM and bigger screens in Android and then a few years later Apple brings more RAM and bigger screens to iPhone and suddenly the iPhone fanboys call it innovative. Lol.
Remember when the Stylus was seen as old? Samsung brought the SPen, Apple fans bashed it, then Apple brought out the Apple Pencil with its awkward charging implementation, and yet the Apple fans praise it.

And I am not saying that the people who can't afford phones each year are stingy. Only the ones that say are poor and in fact they aren't. And boy, they are a lot of them.
Judging by the amount of people you commented too, I think you just need special attention and commenting the exact opposite on everybody else's opinion. That's sad..

[deleted post]It's not that I am not worth replying to, it's that you do not have the adequate answers. You were here running a mock and posting pure and posting without any real facts.
Seeing as you will not be replying to me, I guess we can conclude that:
1. 100W is an innovation and you were just hating on it.
2. You have no experience with these devices and are simply spewing nonsense.
3. You never did build a 100W charger.
4. You never had any real facts to backup your endless nonsensical claims.
5. Your posts are not worth actually reading..
Thanks for the entertainment though! :D

.... 100 Watts. Size of the charger is gonna be big. If somehow they provide a small tiny charger.. i will be afraid.. it gonna blow easily.
Given the size, you won't be carrying that charger around.. means you will not be charging outside.. a power bank will be better. But 4000mah means power bank need to be huge also.
So i do not understand the need for this tech. Just make the smallest battery possible to last 1 day.. and go home charge overnight. Simple. Unless you travelling.. and yet again if you travel.. you want to be lightweight.. the massive charger prevents that.
But i guess.. the only pros here is that its an "option". a choice.

11 minutes to 80% as much as I always charge my phone. Impressive. Battery capacity isn't even of such an issue if you can charge the phone so fast. It's just gonna suck you'll need a very specific charger and not just any that comes under your hands like with standard 2.4A 5V chargers which are considered the fastest without any special tech and can be used with any phone.

This is amazing, what I call innovation.
I am one of these that always remembers to charge the phone 10 minutes before having to catch the train. Super useful to me and a game changer to my needs.

AnonD-833125, 26 Mar 2019There is a fine line between a smart consumer and a stingy ... moreDon't worry, I'm not stingy. I pay top dollar for my phones and I upgrade when I feel it's needed. But not everyone has the luck to be able to just burn cash like that, so it's a bit of a mix between stingy and smart purchases. You'll want to buy something durable so you can allocate your precious money to more important items and/or services or other life projects. But you can't possibly call someone who can't afford frequent upgrades "stingy".
