[deleted post]Lol, you claim to be educated yet you question a user name vs a phone. :'D
I've mostly owned Samsung Galaxy Note phones, starting with Galaxy Note Edge, Note 4, Note5 and a Note8, but recently tried the Mate 20 Pro and have been blown away by how excellent the device is.
You see, unlike blind fanboys, I like to explore other OEMs before making stupid and nonsensical comments like "100W is easy" and "fast charging is a gimmick". It's great to have the actual technology in your hands because you then sit back and laugh at the clueless haters like you who speak from no experience. :D

100W is a remarkable speed. Yet the main problem is will it reduce the lifespan of battery? Will the phone heat up too much during charging? Many phones are claimed to have much faster charging speeds, but according to my own experiences, their batteries usually degrade much faster.

You have yet to post any sort of proof of this being bad, all you have done is make nonsensical statements.
You said it's easy, I'd like to see YOU build it...show us exactly how it's done seeing as it's so easy for you.

andrehe, 26 Mar 2019I assume that this will lower the life expectancy of the ba... moreI happily use the 40W Fast Charging on my Mate 20 Pro with no degradation these past 5 months, still gets me 8-10hours SOT with over 1 day off charge.
The best part is that if I want to slow charge with a 10W charger I can, but I also have the option to fast charge, I am not just limited to 2010 standards of charging. :) we are in 2019 now, we no longer use 1500mAh batteries. OEMs must get faster charging.

AnonF-85937, 26 Mar 2019They are indeed, and look at how much hate they are getting... moreDude, you can find news about literally any smartphone having "exploded". Lithium batteries are dangerous to begin with. No OEM is immune to that. The fact that you specifically go after the Note9 and link it to the Note7 incident proves you are a Chinese OEM fanboy and a Samsung hater. You are uneducated.
And no, fast charging does not mean that Chinese OEMs are innovative or leaders. It's so easy to go to 100W. Actually, the USB-PD standard goes to 100W.

Had Samsung or Apple brought this we would be hearing how innovate it is, but the haters hate it when Chinese OEMs innovate.
Their bitterness shows in their uneducated opinions that they keep spewing here.
We have yet to have any sort of bad Battery Degradation from these fast chargers, yet we did have Samsung blowing up Note7s not so long ago, LOL, no such problems with these devices. Actually, there was a Note9 that blew up late last year to, and yet these fanboys still come put their baseless opinions about excellent Fast Charging as being a gimmick, LOL.

It sounds to me like you are here to spew and uneducated opinion, as these phones don't get much warmer than the standard crap charging Sony Xperia use, yet they complete their charging in half the time.

Luxor, 26 Mar 2019Who is even asking for this feature? Desperately need to ch... moreLOL, do you not get it!? Large batteries are exactly the reason why this sort of fast charging is necessary. Charging a 5000mAh battery at 15W will be a long process.
0oease use some logic. This is a great solution.
The 40W Fast Charging in my Mate 20 Pro has changed the way I chargey device, no more charging overnight, I simply plug in while getting ready for work and within 40-45mins my phone is at 100%, Tue best part being the phones battery lasts forever, it's great to plug in for a short time while having plenty of time to drain the battery, it's a win-win.

People are skeptical about this, saying that the battery will die sooner than expected. But the majority of people are changing their phones once 2 years.
What is it more important to have a slow charging phone for 3 years or a fast charging phone that you can instantly use when you need it for 1-2 years? I will take the second option any time.
