Apple officially cancels AirPower after an eighteen month delay

After much effort, we’ve concluded AirPower will not achieve our high margins and we have cancelled the project. We apologize to investors who were looking forward from us to squeeze the last remaining dollar from consumers pocket. We continue to believe that the future is 'more devices, more money' and are committed to push the iSheep experience forward.

Basically, they couldn’t reinvent someone else’s product without copying them, or strike the deal so they canceled it.
18 months is a joke!
That’s why I don’t buy their products.
I rather have the tec when it comes to the market and not just like with Sony, being years behind.
Besides there’s nothing “I” about their products which all look alike.

So many Apple Bashers already. Any excuse to poke fun at them, even thought they've done nothing different compared to any other tech company in the world. Pathetic.
I would have not bought this charger even if it was released, I don't like lying my phone flat on a wireless charger, I much prefer a stand, but it was pretty obvious it wasn't going to be an easy job managing the heat from this product, charging 3 devices with such a small form factor. Maybe they should focus on just getting fast charging plugs in their phones first.

Based on their reasoning that products that don't need the highest standards should be cancelled, Apple should cancel ALL their products for being cheaply made using low quality standards.

Not going to lie, I've never seen the so much appeal of such a charger, and to this day, I don't understand how so many people were so excited for such a wireless charger. Was it unique and one of a kind, of course, I certainly appreciate innovation and even if it comes at a cost, I appreciate every single bit of new stuff that stands out, no matter which company it comes from. This however, it took Apple far too long to admit defeat and apologise for the delay and admit defeat, in fact, it really is shameful that they didn't release a public statement and apologise for all of the thousands of people who were so much waiting for this to be released.
All of the people coming up with Steve Jobs, yeah you're right, but that doesn't change the fact of how Apple is dealing with business in 2019 and in the future, your point is really irrelevant, we don't know and will never know how Steve would've react to this, no matter what you say. (This comes from someone who read 2x books from Steve and his life - may he rest in peace)
