I know a lot of people owning Nokia and nobody wants to change them yet. A more interesting question is the sanity of people buying Samsung for example and paying 800+ euros just for a logo pasted on an ordinary tin.

Processing is in the background and don't have to wait to make the next photo. The amount of light is more important for the ISO / shutter ratio. The number of processed megapixels is from 60 to 240 and all this information is needed for images, depth maps and raw files.

For 700$ people deserve much more, than all the HMD wastes.
Propose anything else, not only Apple or Samsung to anybody who had to use a Nokia during 6 months, they would change without any hesitation.
Or maybe you're one of these fanboys who use the phone to snap landscape pics on Twitter and tag them to have a like from the Nokia guy.... Yeah I think it's that...

I have already seen a number of full-size comparisons Nokia 9 vs Samsung S10+ and iPhone XS MAX. In daylight Nokia is significantly superior. Colors are natural, the details are precise, and the dynamic range is extremely wide.
If we talk about raw it's just another league. Incredible opportunities and potential with almost no noise. The only thing you can compare it to is dlsr. Even the default development of raw on the phone brings a stunning result.
Of course, this phone is not for everyone and it should be clearly understood.
If you prefer instant 'beauty' for Instagram, candy photos with plastic colors to 'impress', your choice definitely is Samsung or Huawei.

They rent name only ...
If these devices had HMD logo on it none would buy.
With nokia logo you can find costumers, because they believe Nokia makes these phones.
Being company created by few former nokia employees does not make HMD the nokia itself

THE-TRUTH-REVEALER, 31 Mar 2019Fair Warning : To those people who are expecting amazing ca... moreBut the real question is: Do those 5 cameras really capture "ridiculous amount of" "photographic information"?
For any cameras, the amount of information is basically the amount of light captured by a sensor. You see, Nokia 9 indeed has 5 cameras, but each sensor is only 1/2.9" large - Nokia claims that the combination of 2 RGB sensors and 3 B&W sensors yield 10 times more light, but with all that it still cannot capture any more light than 1 optically stabilised 1/1.7" sensor (given that OIS is equivalent to 2 stops of extra SS) with the same F1.8 aperture. And since image aligning is not perfect, the low light performance out of this 5 camera setup would be nowhere near as good as 1 big sensor. In fact Lumia 1020 takes much more usable night time photo than Nokia 9 does; this indicates how poorly this phone performs when the lighting is less than ideal. Then the JPEG processing that applies tons of edge enhancement and clarity boost, and wipes out details in high ISO settings, and on top of that it takes 10 to 15 seconds to take a single photo! Now you can say goodbye sports photography.
So essentially this phone's camera is for those who only take landscape shot and don't mind sticking with fixed focal length, extremely long processing time, carrying a tripod and spending long time editing every single RAW file generated by a camera with Adobe Lightroom, but also don't want to carry dedicated cameras for some reason. I actually have no idea what the target audience of this product really is supposed to be.

wait for the Long Term Review before you hate on it, don't forget HMD just started in 2017 and miserably failed with the 2 N8s they released, but people loved the N7Plus and some of their devices, this release has a lot in store that is yet to be explored
as for Nokia, screensize under 6in is ok with 3300mAh under since they know how to utilize the distribution of the power, a bit disappointed without the jack since I'm old school and as well as the no memory expansion, but it has big storage so that's just fine, FP reader delay (Asus is worse) can be fixed thru OTA if it really performs slower compared to flagships of its level

3,320 Looks smaller for 2019, how about iPhone X,XS,XR and XS MAX ?? most of them they have less than 3000mAh Battery life
