Mate 20 series are released back in November, so price doesn't fall too much today, If you're refering to Mate 20, it only have single front cam, just like P30, also with smaller primary camera (1/2.3")

I am rocking the regular p30. And I am satisfied. The main difference is the zoom on the pro wish for me is no deal breaker. The camera quality is the same with minor differences on portrait and bokeh.

why is it that people don't talk honest to this. their camera are not that good the advertisement does. commercial/s does.

Qualcomm and Google etc still have a lot of catching up to do for facial recognition, but I believe Sony already has fairly accurate 3D facial scanning technology, too bad almost no one buys a Sony phone these days.

At least I could tell that they have something even better inside to be released later on.
And because they teased their 5G modem alongside the announcement of the Xperia 1, I have a strong feeling that a Xperia 5G flagship is coming soon, and it'll also have better internals than Xperia 1.
As for the camera aspect, Sony actually has this IMX666 sensor, a 1/1.8" 66.6MP memory-stacked sensor, also with Quad Bayer filter. I suspected that the Xperia 1 will have this, but since it only got the traditional 12MP 1/2.6" one, then they might have a better phone with this superior sensor.

Besides, who on Earth needs unlocked bootloader aside few kids wanting o play out with their system to feel themselves as cool hackers.

Most people voted for better specs phone, not for a phone they are getting. P30 has a lot of issues, like lack of waterproofing, lack of wireless charging, lack of IrDA port.
Speaking of P30 lite. People getting phones like this are not represented on this site. But i know a dozen of mamas of pension age who are having P20 lite. It's ultra popular. Sadly P30 lite comes to Europe without white version, which could be bestseller.

People take notice when there is a great combination of phone and camera specs. This P30 pro is generating a rush of interest with long queues of buyers in Singapore and Malaysia when it went on sale on 6th Apr.
