Can't wait for Apple to finally lose the mobile department battle and for Huawei to rise together with Samsung, if it's not yet possible to overtake it.

            In 2019 Q1 Apple 30% down, Huawei 50% up.

I'm not surprised, in this quarter I didn't buy any iPhones but I did buy a Huawei. A bargain price of £99. Although it wasn't a flagship, it did have a FHD+ resolution 5.65" screen and a 3,000mAh battery. It's also got microUSB 2.0 and a 3.5mm headphone jack, something not seen on the latest iPhones.

Apple used to be far ahead of the competition in regards to innovation, design and build quality. This justified the high prices. After Steve Jobs passed away Apple stopped innovating the iPhone as much. Now they are behind the competition in many areas.

Apple has the lowest charging speeds, big ugly notches, less advanced camera setups on primary cameras.

Yes, Apple might be in top regarding earnings and revenue. As a costumer I consider this a bad thing. It only means they are charging way to much for the products due to high loyalty among users.

This loyalty is not coursed by superior products but no competition on iOS devices. If there where other manufacturers able to ship phones with iOS the prices would be way lower.

AnonD-558092, 02 May 2019Your comment is useless and empty. Wake up you too. At leas... moreHoly moses you are disrespectful and knowledgeable.

I was planning to buy a iphone before my Europe tour, but they couldn’t invent ultra wide camera, so i have to buy s10 which captured a lot of memorable moments. P30/P30 pro is also excellent but it was not released before my tour started. Btw this all are irrelevant to ifanboys. When iphone add ultra wide camera they will claim it as a true innovation... lolzZ

Anonymous, 02 May 2019Apple are to busy copy pasting and recycling their products... moreWhich devices are far superior ? Even which devices are just better or even match Apple iPhones ? Even A11 bionic is faster than latest SD 855 or Exynos/Kirin equivalents. Not even to compare them to A12 bionic or A12x bionic (even it's only in iPad). What else is far superior of android compare to Apple ? - cheap RAM (not in all models) with useless capacities like 6/10/12GB and so on, Software updates for maximum 1/2 years (only for flagship models). Large amount of bootware (excluding Pixel devices and other with clean ROM). What else - build quality or design characteristics (Apple go without 3.5mm jack - after them everyone else (except Samsung (my respect for them)) , Apple go with Notch design - > everyone adopts it , Apple implement FaceID everyone create frankenstein copy of it (check issues with securities for other manufactures) if it's just for convience and show-off it works fine. How for sake android device is superior - why you mislead yourself - telling 100 times one lie it will not become true , but will at least change your own view.

I dont care whether Samsung or Huawei wins, both challenged each other for their innovation, but combined they overtake Apple while it tries to make iPhone to be premium product.

Apple are to busy copy pasting and recycling their products and counting all those billions to consider innovating, overpriced iphone XS and xs max, there are far superior droids out there but apples OS is their strongest selling point, you cant be charging £1000+ for a device and expect everyone to keep paying, granted there are androids that are £899, but they offer so much more out of the box, most have free gifts bundled as well making the prices way more competitive, but given the cost of smartphones, people are just going to hold onto them longer, incremental updates when a phone cost £500 was perfectly manageable, but when a phone costs almost a grand, you are ot going to drop that cash so easily, contract deals are expensive as well, and the smartphone market is saturated as it is, let alone before the lack of innovation

Only in the states is the iPhone managing dominance since its only decent competitor is forbidden to enter, Samsung is ok but not spectacular like Huawei and is not enough to convert Apple users... Huawei is de wei! Pun tottally intended LMAO!

I don't like qualification as "sheep" as you adress me , but i will pass that do not worry. Let give you more details about why i don't find this statistic as relevant - 1. It measure marketshare in volume (number of devices shipped) , 2. It not give details about price range (usually there such one , and IDC had such data or used to had when i used their services).
Apple doesn't have an product (iphone) that cost less than 500 euro (which is Apple iPhone 7 with 32gb storage) oldest model you can buy brand new till today. Which i believe is not best selling device in 2019 and not even in top 5 (most probably there only 2018/2017 models that are selling today). On other hand nothing to harm Huawei and Samsung (which i respect as companies and i do not said anything bad about their brands and products) - both of this two manufactures sell device in midrange , entry level and so on. Huawei for example (has couple models with retail cost even less than 200 euro), Samsung slightly less than Huawei but still significant models with such price tag. Even if i increase the gap to match cheapest Apple model (~500 euro) you can imagine for what kind of numbers we are talking about. If this data talks about wellbeing of the companies - all companies above Apple's marketshare should be more profitable (even if we ignore Samsung and Huawei other businesses).
In terms of highend and devices in top price range i believe Apple is still no.1 (which obviously is their focus , as they do not produce devices in other price range).
                                        Kind Regards,
