Besides the entertainment, this would lead us to make laws that properly address those tech issues. This is something we actually need. So that Cold War v2 might just be what we needed.

People need to understand that this isn't about phones.
Think about all Huawei equipment that is currently getting you your 4g and home's WiFi. Stuff you DON'T see.

It says a lot about people when they just assume phone sales are at risk here. Huawei equipment being banned isn't just phones. It's also the equipment that is used to get people their 4g (and soon 5g) and other wireless networks such as your home's and business's WiFi. People don't seem to realise this. All these comments 'would Samsung or Apple do this', 'they're **** phones anyway', 'cheap Chinese spyware'. Shows how naive some people are about the devices and equipment they use.
