Whatever the reason, I chose this phone because I simply love it, whether its Android license have been revoked or not, I will stick to Huawei(M20P) nonetheless. One way or another, this will actually be resolved but ofcourse the process may take longer because it is between a giant company vs. a giant country. Let's just see how this unfolds.

I am keeping my mate 20 pro … don't really have a choice no money to by a new phone :(
thought if a knew about the trade war with chine a would waited for Samsung s10+

            31% are jumping ship.

More people should. I honestly wouldn't care if Huawei offered their phones to me for free. I can't update or get apps from the Play Store. I have a MacBook and I can't install their HiSuite or whatever to handle putting media files on it. I can't resell it.

It's completely useless to me even if I got one for free. It's just there to use as a camera? Drag another device with me? They're all just paperweights. Someone might think they're getting a great deal on a fire sale only to try to sell it when nobody wants it.

My Essential was DOA but I still love it. Why? Stock Android. Smaller. Matte back finish. No need for HiSuite as Android File Transfer works fine. Can still update my software and download apps from the Play Store. The things the now worthless Huaweis can no longer do.

Lol...Huawei fans still in denial... there're 7 stages of griefing... you just started the 1st

never would have ever bought chinese cheap junk anyway. never trusted them or any of the millions of others there are now (oneplus etc). this site would be empty without them though. i miss good nokia's and sony's, i wish they would make great phones again.

No company is to provide US technology to any entity in the Entity List. Even if it's a foreign country. Huawei and ZTE got in trouble because they supplied US tech to Iran, which was under embargo. I'm sure the same thing applies to the Entity List. Otherwise the Entity List is useless

AnonD-558092, 26 May 2019Don't think it would work. The SoCs from Samsung, MediaTek.... moreWell the ban doesn't say Huawei can't do business with non US company using US tech so it can be used as plot hole (or whatever its called)

Sell before value drops anymore. There are way too many excellent options out there nowadays. Huawei phones really have nothing so special worth taking a risk. It's hardware could be found in other manufacturers, it's OS isn't even huawei's own.b

If Trump keeps this up, there's no doubt that Chinese gadget makers will suffer. However, over the long term things get a bit more murky. I'm sure suppliers around the world will adjust and find ways around the ban to try to sell again, simply because China is such a huge market. Could this result in some companies developing their patents outside of the US? Perhaps. But more likely, China will gradually reduce its reliance on US made stuff (and not just tech products). This means less US exports to China over the long term, which is the complete opposite of what Trump set out to do. The biggest winners in the end are non-US producers. Losers? Both the US and China. All by their own doing.

I wanted to buy a p30 since to me that seemed as the best choice. It doesnt have wireless charging, not a glass phone(no glass back cover),and so on.But it was fast, wasnt a 6.4-5-7 inch screen phone(hate those) like many today, and had a good camera.Im not playing on my phone,or watch 4k videos,so it pretty much was made for me since i hate iphones, and not a fan of samsung either, but if this war wont be settled in huaweis benefit, then i have to go with a f**** s10e.I buy a flagship phone and then stick with it for 3-4 years.

Good opportunity for me to keep my mobile longer...My M20P stopped receiving updates from Huawei but I hope Huawei pulls out something spectacular to overcome the situation and try to run the ship without critical dependencies from unreliable sources..
