Then why most smartphone manufacturers decided to use OLED display in their top tier phones instead of IPS LCD display.. Because majority of consumer wants OLED display in their phones no matter how good the IPS Lcd have become. Buyers will always welcome Phones with Oled display Thanks to Eastman Kodak company for the OLED Technology. Peace:-)

There's a good reason why professional photographers use IPS displays, colour accuracy and sharpness levels, something that OLED cannot do. Oh well, small kids are also attracted to toys in bright punchy colors. :D

        IpsDisplay, 28 May 2019Sharp aquos R3, now we just need manufacturers to to make t... moreOh! i see, If an any Lcd display can offer the same amount of vibrant and punchy color like the Oled's why would Oled's even exist. it's kind of personal preference and according to me super IPS lcd just can't match Oled true color reproduction and you don't get the benefit of having deep blacks..IGZO display may have advantage to scale the resolution higher maybe 8K which is not necessary in smartphones.

              I very rarely take selfies. When I do, I want them to be sharp so the flip camera idea is very appealing. The rest of the specs look really great. Of course, your actual mileage may very so it'd wait to see what owners think of the phone before I buy one. That is if I were in the market for a new phone. I've decided to wait for 5G so will look at the Zenfone 7 when it comes out.

Shitty UI, overrated company, as expensive as Samsung & Apple which both have much better quality phone, weird name, unfamiliar chipset, blocked by Google & on top of all, espionage smartphone manufacturer. Oh and do not forget not so bright future for it's android update.

                      Asus UK can't even manage their preorder shipping. So hope that's no indication of the phone itself. So frustrating! Held off oneplus for this. :(

Good if your eyes don't get tired from it and you don't feel sick. Only now brands like Xiaomi and Oneplus are considering DC dimming, which will raise the bar of the quality in OLED displays as there shouldn't be imperfections visible in low voltage setting.
                              Colours on high end IPS are more accurate than uncalibrated or cheap OLED. Have you seen a graphics designer using an OLED monitor?
                              Sharpness - most popular pentile OLEDs are inferior as the true, physical resolution ends up lower, RGB Oleds and LCDs are providing much clearer image.
                              Burn-in, still a thing, important if you are not a rich kid swapping phones every year. And what's with "brain capacity to manage oled screen" - I thought phone is for using, not for stressing about how to manage screen, about the settings, about not ruining it. Same with oled tvs, they have such problems with burnins, that they cannot actually be used as TVs, cannot leave it on all day if, stress about logos etc., about brightness and so on.

                                I am grateful it doesn't have Oled, but a good quality IPS LCD display. IMO LCD is much better than oled - no PWM dimming that's worse for eyes and create headaches in quite a few people. no burn-ins, image is much sharper than pentile - true resolution is higher. LCD lovers also deserve some good flagships, for me there's almost nothing left to chose from, only Honor 20 pro/Zenfone 6 atm.

                                    I don't agree with the part about the LCD display being an advantage to anyone. Fanboys defend LCD, but most people neutral people with some knowledge will understand that OLED is now superior in every way. Burn-in may occur if you haven't got the brain capacity to manage the display properly.
