Shanti Dope, 24 May 2019ARM cutting partnership with them means Huawei will be forc... moreThats mean it will take years before it will come up with their own designed and architecture, meaning they are f@@@@@. Nothing happens instantly dude, they been solely using ARM design for years as any other company and nothing even close came out, so pretty much game over for Huawei, unless USA and China will come to agreement

marclee37, 24 May 2019a company controlled by bad people, bad mind, bad intention... morePlease tell us who is normal and trustworthy. I know you don't have answers. By the way those Americans even spy on their allies, the British, the Germans. What is Facebook, google, Microsoft, apple are just the surveillance tools in the hands of state. They the just the offshoots of CIA, courtesy Edward Snowden.

This whole thing will stop when China blackmails the US by threatening Iphone production. The US loves to raise the bar with overhyped decisions that they dont follow up, this will die down in a few months and they will strike a deal...

a company controlled by bad people, bad mind, bad intention.
fake, wicked, ugly, are the basic character of that certain place. still lots of people haven't realized this.
before their government system is changed, it is risky to consider a china brand phone. all personal sensitive important data are on a phone. consider some other phone makers who are normal, trust worthy.

I am planning on purchasing a M30X. If they are not out right banned in the states. They should have some extra features to switch from my M20X. Not worried bout 5g now. With Huawei ban it could be 10 years plus before the US gets good 5g coverage.

Outside of China, I don't think they would have much luck with apps......wait. Europe is trying to break the Google monopoly, isn't it? So in theory, this 'HongMeng' OS would provide an alternative. Then again, there would be the fear of Chinese controlled software. Shoot, there really is no foreseeable paths here

I most say buying a device with google-spyware ripped out sounds like a sweet deal to me, tough I am not sure how I can download my banking app without the Play Store... :S (hope Huawei make some kinda deal to get the banks of all countries to release their app at their store)

As I suspected, chips they already got is safe they can easily make Kirin 659, 710, 970, 980 & maybe 985 tough that will be able to keep em running fine for 2-3 years tough they will be out competed against the competition that also has Google services... How ever they will do fine in China not so much in Europe if the lack of Google services affect sales to greatly... V-V

The reason ARM is forced to sanction huawei is because a lot of its core designs are created in the US and TSMC is not an American company so they can do business with whoever they want. TSMC knows this witchhunt against Huawei is just Trump banging the drums to support his 2020 re-election campaign. Since this is just political theatrics, TSMC will protect their own profits first and foremost.

There is nothing to stop Huawei from making changes to the Kirin 980/985 themselves.
They just can't get any expertise from ARM.
If after this Huawei is still using ARM's techs in future products then Huawei is impotent.
ARM shows no loyally unlike TSMC.
