You can only tell differences between comparable chipsets that are in the same performance category by looking at boring benchmarks, and in any category, MediaTek's chips will be cheaper than Qualcomm's.

                Lenco L75, 29 May 2019I wouldn't use MT, even for free, I can't get a good experi... moreIf you're talking sources etc... yeah it's a combination of greedy Mediatek (why disclose current tech when you can push something newer and for a higher price :P also, like any Chinese/HK company, they're probably very obsessive with their OWN technology protection -- doesn't stop the overprotective Chinese chaps from stealing OTHER contestants' projects tho) and greedy manufacturers (I'll always remember the Umi Plus E fiasco... one of the first P20 devices, but Umi(digi) chose SUCH a cut-down cheap no-licences-included variant of the P20 (6757CD I think) that after promising a Nougat update, they COULDN'T deliver -- because Mediatek never promised to supply proper documentation and disclose sources for this exact P20 variant)...

That country are not just using Qualcomm, A chips from apple and Exynos , there are plenty of network provider who sell phones with MTK chip.

                            Some of you needs to stop thinking Taiwan and China as separated entity in tech. Most of the major Taiwanese have more operations in mainland China than Taiwan. Most of MediaTek's customers are Chinese OEMs and as you can read, M70 is designed with input from BKK

                                  if only they are most CustomDevs Firmware maker friendly, i'd get or recommend one but alas. you're stuck on whatever android it comes with at the mercy of the manufacturer for very very very rare updates till its end of life then itll become trash.
