Sam, 31 May 2019If you can call a big battery the 3400 mAh one... i can't s... moresingle piece of glass... well well. If they can pull this off, all of the repair divisions would be charging users so high for it, just saying :')

But I'm all in with the hole-less, button-less idea like how meizu did it awhile back. Because it means better waterproofing and better build quality overall. Holes removing isn't reasonable for me to let go the 3.5mm jack, expandable memory slot, good ol' sim card, IF it doesn't mean that the phone would be at least IP68.

the best way to tell samsung you don't want the removal of the headphone jack is with your wallet. they took out the sd card from the galaxy s6 and they brought it back REAL fast with the s7.

I'm sickened of these rumors again. How they are going hole-less if they need hole for S-Pen?

Samsung .. Please don't be dumb. We like the headphone jack, Also, that centered Infinity O is the second ugliest cut out I have seen, No. 1 is still the iPhone Cyclop's eye.
If you want an O, keep it to the sides, if you want it centered, stick with a U (Waterdrop)
Better Still, Push the Selfie in the S-Pen & give us a notchless screen.

The Huawei P30 has audio jack, 3650 mAh battery and 22.5W fast charging. The 4500 mAh battery is not the biggest one out there too and i bet that the Huawei 40W will still be faster...

On the way better they should remove all the holes too, usb port, memory/SIM, etc. Zero holes like the Meizu concept with eSIM and only a single sealed hole for the stylus. A single piece of glass. Oh yes. If you drop it, your fault, so the whole cover should be changed if its damaged and sealed again in a special machine that apply the new glass cover.

Besides, 3.5mm jack doesn't prevent any of that, it's just hollow propaganda.

Obviously no headphone jack so you'll buy disposable bluetooth earbuds annually. Those sealed bluetooth earbud batteries die pretty fast and are not replaceable. And you have to charge them regularly too, or they're worthless.

Also, so you can bombard your brain daily with 'harmless' bluetooth radiation 4-8hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365/366 days a year, if you are a heavy music listener. Let's see how many will buy these crippled, limited use flagships without micro sd card slots and without headphone jacks and with sealed batteries designed to suddenly discharge fast during the second year of software updates that at the same time (those engineered software updates) , mysteriously disable the fast charging capability and render the flagship phone a stuttery mess despite the ultra powerful processor and oodles of RAM that rendered a very smooth, fast and fluid experience just a year or two ago.

                PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE LEVELED UP VERSION.

That's the name of the game. It's the only way for phone manufacturers to reverse the trend of DECLINING WORLDWIDE smartphone sales and longer upgrade cycles because many phone owners have realized you don't need to waste $1000++ on a new phone every year or two.

Nobody ever spent $1,000++ every year or two during the peak era/peak popularity of PC desktops and laptops, why should smartphones be any different and worse, increasingly more expensive than even the powerful desktops, laptops, and yes, even more expensive than 65-70" 4K UHD smart tvs of today from reputable and popular electronics brands!

Resist the TEMPTATION! Hold on to your old phone until its dead so smartphone manufacturers will realize we don't tolerate crippling of flagship smartphones to accelerate planned obsolescence.

Anonymous, 31 May 2019just some idiot and dumb trend of removing headphone jack..... moreDid you know, how Asus get 5000mah is that they don't use those 25W Fast charge technology but rather uses the 18W classic QuickCharge 4. Having a battery that can do >25W makes the battery thicker but the mah would be smaller.

Samsung had no choice but to increase the battery size and finally have the COURAGE to use Proprietary Fast Charging that can charge faster than 25W, hence the disappearance of a headphone jack. Well, they're not a musically inclined smartphone company anyway...

Operation Blitz, 31 May 2019??? Note 4 the last true Note ??? I have Note 9! 8 Gig of R... moreI think what he meant was that it followed the philosophy of what the Note series was originally meant to be, being a better alternative to the S series. It might seem that way today, but before the Note 5, every note had a better processor than it's S counterpart, a better pixel-dense screen, and better RAM+ROM storage combinations. This is why the Note 5 underwent such a huge controversy when it first got released, since it stuck the same processor and storage combinations as the s6 family, and since the S6 family already had a 1440p display, the Note 5 also got stuck with the "maximum" pixel density screen. For the first time, consumers saw the note series more like a "bigger s6" series rather than the Note DNA that it used to retain

R.I.P Headphone Jack on flagship smartphones (2006-2019)

Or it might survive a little longer if LG continues providing it on their flagships.

Everything is backwards nowadays. Mid-rangers (In terms of price, at least. Cause K20 pro and even Zenfone 6 are not flagships in terms of price) are for power users, while flagships are for fan-boys.
