'Red dreams'?! Haha. It must be translated by Google Translate or some machine translating tool using pinyin. I am a certified translator. Chinese words have tones, which could change the meaning completely. The Chinese character for Hongmeng is 鸿蒙. It is derived from an ancient Chinese tale referring to the atmosphere/ status of the earth before it is forming or human being is formed. Commonly it is used to refer to ancient times. Based on my knowledge on Chinese, I'd say it more likely means a starting point of a new era. I saw some websites sugsuggest its English brand is ARK OS. This is yet to be seen.

Nature does not allow a vacuum. Huawei is adapting to the ban, this may yet have unintended consequences. When the OS is out there people will judge and decisions wont be coloured by political considerations. The ban may be driven by political considerations. The buyer out here is politically blind, product excellence and value for money matters more.

I think that there is a very long road to spread Hongmeng Os and its' ecosystem to compete with Android and IOS. For the people who do not care about privacy they can choose Huawei's devices. In my country, there are many warnings from police department about spy malware from china' products recorded. As the title, the first step to control the world of china is leading about technique in Mobile devices and telecommunications service.

They would be manufacturing these cards which means unnecessary cost whereas SD cards are available everywhere and phone manufacturers does not have to make their own SD cards. Although small, it can still affect Huawei sales if they implement a replacement for the said technologies as it is not a popular choice. You think ones who manufacture head/earphones will adjust to Huawei's technology?
