blueglue, 09 Feb 2012@james, you seem sensible. so i assume you are not consider... moreYou can purchase the Lumia 800 off contract from Microsoft for a measly $899. I bet the Nokia Fanboys are all willing to shell out that price for a device that aside from the polycarbonate(Class 7 PLASTIC) body is identical to every other WP7 device out there.

You confuse having 2 separate processors and having a dual core. Nokia isn't the first to market with a "dual processor" device, they had separate RISC processors to do certain task, not the same thing. Try again.

wish you good luck with your convictions. personally, if i have to buy a WP7 (which i may soon)all devices would be same, there isnt much difference between lumia 800 and samsung w8530 (except for 8 MP cam) and samsung is much cheaper too(trust me way too cheaper). unbiased buyers will prefer samsung in this case, where is the nokia trdemark or so called the selling point?

blueglue, 09 Feb 2012so you think o/s working with 680 mhz is innovation? at lea... moreThey were the first to use camera on a smartphne . They used dual cpus first. They introduced 4 inch screens n 800x480 res scrêen way bäck in 2001. They inspired the idea of camcorder on a phone , n93. They somehow started slowing down after n95. They wr the most innovative brands and i feel evn today they can do it.

Remember... moreYes i know that, may people say Nokia don't have dual CPU, actually they started with dual CPU's in phones. And also true is that Android still can't use dual CPU correctly. It is funny that people think if they have a dual 1,4Ghz CPU running they have the best phone......LOL......i would say keep charging your battery every day twice :P

This is very very ugly design, so looking bad. Nokia should bring new attractive design for this phone.

Remember they used dual cpu 339mhz +339mhz in N95. Why ? Bcoz it was needed . Now same clocked cpus are used in symbian. Do you knw , a sgs2 is a single core device 90% of the time bcoz apps are nt available to utilise dual core. Let the android fanboys dream about dual cores.

AnonD-12210, 09 Feb 2012what innovation ? If u have single core u know the nxt step... moreso you think o/s working with 680 mhz is innovation? at least they have tried till some extent to put single, dual core of cpu and HD screens to use in a mobile phones.
in fact their efforts helped nokians to get isnpired to put the same h/w to their mobiles...the lumia 900,800 etc.. etc
and btw, its not just the increse of h/w. its the premium feel and experience which has been innovative.

no if nokia had android, they wud have made it work on 480 mhz cpu , forget cores and HD screens. they wud have taken us back to monochromes.

If a OS can run smooth on a 680Mhz CPU then why use 1,4Ghz CPU if there is no benefit in the performance, this because it will drain you battery life. I really don't think you know what you are talking about!
