blueglue, 09 Feb 2012@james, Its been close to 1 and half years WP has been runn... morewhat innovation ? If u have single core u know the nxt step, i.e dual core. If u have nhd res screen , one knows the nxt big step, i.e hd screen. So just inflating the numbers is nt innovation. Do you think if nokia had android they would just sit like SE to launch their first dual core phone.

Jay, 09 Feb 2012I would say just try Belle, than speak. Carla and Donna on ... moreoh now that you ahve opened up your eyes, i know the specs are for WP device? but it was nokia fanboys who used the same comments earlier when other manufacturers released the handsets.
ok 680 mhz processor is enoguh, so what? a nokia phone with 680 mhz cpu is costing more or less same as the one with 1ghz, where the user is out rightly benefitted with premium hardware and better o/s.

anna, belle, carla, donna.. then what? what better features does those o/s bring, ....symbian is dead and nokia cremated it, atleast by 2013. why do you fanboys are still adamant to accept the fact?

I love my N8, because i use the camera a lot and there is no better camera phone available yet then the N8.
But if this is gonna be the design for the 803...... i will not buy it. The design is real ugly, they should make a awesome design for the last Symbian device! Nokia you can do it!

And Symbian does not need 1,4GHz dualcore battery slurping cpu, it can run smootly on a 680Mhz cpu. This specs you are talking about is about windows os, so a company is copying from another comapny if they have the same screen size? So if you buy the same shoes like someone else then you are copying to........i would say STOP COPYING.........whahaha LFMAO!

Why don't they put this on EVERY phone they make? Promote an OS they just kicked out and leave the one that will feed them in the dust?

AnonD-12210, 09 Feb 2012Lumias started off in late november. Few largest markets li... moreIndia is not a large smartphone market. The US is considered the largest smartphone market, next after the US is EU in which Nokia launched the Lumia 800 with HEAVY marketing funds, Nokia also launched the Lumia 800 in Singapore again with HEAVY marketing funds. The revenue loss was not only attributed to Nokia Siemens but also to their mobile division.

WP7 has been out a whole year before the launch of the Lumia 800, not only that it was launched on Multiple carriers with support from multiple manufacturers at the same time. Microsoft was giving away free Xbox 360's with the Nokia Lumia 800 purchase in UK, yet the UK saw only pathetic market share of 0.17% for November. Singapore not only got an xbox 360 but also a free kinect bundle with the 360 and sales there were also lack luster.

Of course Smartphone sales were going to increase for Q4, do you even know what holidays are in Q4? Christmas, a time of gift giving that any country with Catholic or Christian followers celebrate with gift giving. All manufacturers and retailers expect to see an increase in sales for Q4; however, look at Nokia's previous Q4 2010 and notice how much of a dramatic decrease in sales.

Now coming to sales, samsung,HTC and LG have released handsets before lumia series, do you think they have captured enough market? NO.. WP over all has 1% of smartphone market world wide, what do you think nokia will shoot like a rocket with lumia (WP) series.. and "it takes time to get on the market" may not hold good, remember others manufacturers are alos innovative and creative, and infact much better than nokia. just dont brag about nokia pointlessly, buy a phone which suits your need.

                                        microSIM card ?
i doubt this one is going to be big hit.
the microSIM card alone is enough to makes people think twice and turn to other manufacturers that make phones with normal SIM card.

btw, microSIM card is not popular in Asia (Asia is currently one of Nokia's biggest market), so i guess this one will also fail in Asia like those Lumia series.

honestly, i really don't understand how those Nokia executives thinks.
it seems like they don't want this phone (or any other Nokia smartphone) to be popular at all.
