kalel, 12 Jul 2019Oh being salty now? U want to list issues too? You asked me... morewhy on earth would someone want to hack your phone? are you a VIP, a billionaire, a politician? I am not getting salty, I am just laughing at stuff you fans give apple a free pass for. Pretty sure if apple brings back touch ID, it would be hackable the same way old one was. And face ID when launched was a first gen too(first generation of upgrading and merging copy that is), that did not stop apple from launching it
https://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/iphone/fix-face-id-not-working-3690315/
https://www.macworld.com/article/3387623/how-to-use-face-id-with-sunglasses.html
Some links for you too.
Every device has flaws, no technology or piece of code is perfect, bugs exist. So the argument of "Apple will perfect it" are simply dumb. As long as it works for general populace, none of it matters. The UD FPS work. That is why there are sub 200$ phones these days in china with that feature, so the argument that apple bought face ID as stopgap between UD fps and fps holds no water, apple is 2 years behind in technology and desperate people are trying to defend it no matter what. I find it hilarious, not something to get salty about. There is a reason their sales are declining YoY, and president had to intervene by banning competitors to stop that from happening

You asked me to list issues and now ur hurt and want to make a list too? Yes they were first iterations that's why there would be a few bumps here and there. But apple always waits for the tech to get better at the 2nd or 3rd iteration before they use it. Which is the best way to go.
Yes twins can have issue with face id. Luckily twins are family members so not really risky security concerns. Outside family nobody could hack face id unless they do expensive plastic surgery to hack a phone which isn't going to happen. Androids brands who use face unlock is more insecure Bcuz it just uses a camera sensor and can be tricked whereas apple have alot of high tech inside the notch to do face id.

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2019Need i list issues with face ID? or the touch Id which coul... moreAnd as you said, for samsung, it was a software issue, which was fixed. As a bonus, it was not even the usually used optical FPS, it was ultrasonic, Samsung at least had courage to add it. The only courage apple had was spent to remove 3.5 mm jack rather than trying to do something new

Fingerprint i... moreNeed i list issues with face ID? or the touch Id which could be hacked?
1. Isolated incidents != mass defect, you want to see mass defects, see iphone 6 and iphone 4 and note 7's.
2. in display FPS is a recent technology, subsequent iterations will only get better. None of reviewers have had any issues so far in any of devices you have mentioned. Almost all of them sold millions, so, why are there no more than 100 comments in any of the links you mentioned?. As long as it works day to day, people do not care, that is same reason face ID works, despite apple still being unable to differentiate twins
3. Apple won't be perfecting it for sure, it will wait for someone else to do it, copy it and celebrate it like best thing since sliced bread

Have to keep registering finger and finger doesn't get recognised. Also have to add more pressure onto the screen for it to read fingerprint.

Finger print sensor wasn't working and was sluggish when out of the box. Ssung did fix it with an update but at same time the finger print scanner can be hacked.

Not yet known as device still not released in certain markets and not much testing done on phone. Even gsmarena havnt reviewed it yet.
There you go and I stand by what I said. I rather wait for Apple to add new tech 1 or 2 years after others just so it's more improved with no issues. Why rush something just to be first and get extra sales. Rather improve the tech and release it when it's fully ready. Also most of above handsets have issues reading fingerprint when phone covered with screen protector too.

Strazzi, 12 Jul 2019Noup. No compact Apple phone. If you mean SE it doesnt sell... moreMate, you mention LG Q7 which is the same size as iPhone XS.
I mean I kinda agree with you, in my book the normal size for a phone is 140mm height, from trully "compact" phone I'd expect no more than 125mm, but it's a relative term - when you take into account how big recent phones are, then most of iPhone are comparably compact.

Sounds like the 2019 batch of iPhones will still have that huge notch, which looks totally outdated and ridiculous - they couldn't even go for that drop-shaped camera notch? 2020 for a smaller notch, 2021 for a notchless design - Apple is dropping the ball bit time.
