It's kind of stupid to say, 4K+ displays is useless on a smartphone while so much content is provided for that resolution.
e.g. We have oodles of smartphones recording video in 4K@60P BUT playback on that device is in 1080P. (WTF!) Most of us share/blog our videos on the fly.

on a smartphone, at some 30cm distance, most people cannot see the difference from app. 450 to app. 570 dpi (app. as values are different for different screens) unless looking to really high definition images or for those using detailed pictograms (mainly asians, for instance..), simple matter of eye physiology. well, could be a little difference in the colour perception too. but 899dpi? really, what for?

Sony once again flexing their tech expertise. God how much I love Japanese companies. Sony, Panasonic, AT, Denon, Pioneer, etc. Nothing beats quality from the land of the rising sun. 2020 Olympics are going to be the best ever.

Something that cant be said about 18:9 nor 19:9 , because only cellphones record this ratio making these two beyond useless.
Next year many other devices will be 21:9. Of course people wont complain like they dont against Motorola One Vision.

After the Xperia Z2 Sony Mobile division seems to be half-asleep, even with these great techs. I wonder what can they offer if they were fully awake.
