There's a petition demanding a Redmi K20 price cut in India

But all Indians are not like him, pardon him for his mistake and stupidity. If someone don't want to buy just leave and go for other devices. He can't diffrentiate btw Flagship and midrange. Poor chap. These type must not have used any AMOLED display smartphone.

Redmi is flash word for Indian Market.
So instead of Mi Series, Xiaomi India has gone with that term.

    Anonymous, 20 Jul 2019They DID something like poco, but at higher price. At least the build, design & display are far superior. For performance, yes, not the best choice, but overall a much better phone compared to Poco F1. So I don't see anything bad as again there's no good competitor.

          Anonymous, 20 Jul 2019Its clearly the fault of xiaomi why they have released Poco... moreI use the Poco F1. Nice phone but its got a HUGE notch. Really HUGE. Which is a bit of an eyesore. And while the screen of the F1 is nice its still an LCD while the K20 is an AMMOLED screen which is nicer and brighter too.

          Thirdly the Poco F1 has a very nice camera BUT the K20 has an UWA camera AND a tele zoom camera. Something you don't get with the Poco.

          So considering all the advantages of the K20 I would probably buy the K20 over the Poco at todays prices.

            A petition just because of a phone and just to save a few pennies doesnt make sense... Petitions are made for important stuff and this aint one of them. Choose another one , there are plenty of options in the market... What a crazy world!

              Funny. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If you don't buy it, the company will drop the price.

                The base variant of k20 should be 19 k while

                  Em the phone I guess it's cheap to begin with, in my country it's even more expensive and also the price drop of less than 30 euro that they want, I think they should have asked for at least the equivalent of 50 euros in INR.

                        Those who are in favor of price of K20 & K20 Pro and comparing with iPhone and Samsung should compare the market share of iPhone and Xiaomi. Xiaomi is leading brand in India because of its low price with high quality specification, was only hope for middle class and lower class people. Nowadays One competitor Realme came in market so Xiaomi has to think about pricing of phone because those who were waiting for K20 are buying Realme X with almost same specification with better price, even i am also buying Realme X.

                            The petition thing is not justifiable.

                            Xiaomi is known for its aggressive pricing for the Redmi lineup and K20 is in line with that. People need to compare the same config with the likes of Samsung, Sony, Oneplus, etc. Xiaomi is trying to provide us flagship experience at such price point & we must appreciate that instead of going on for a petition.

                            Companies ultimately have to keep running costs & profits in mind while selling a product. They just can't do charity all the time. This way they are able to keep up to the market, do proper research & provide us a quality product.

                            But then there are some people like the petition starter, who won't settle ever.

                            This is a really bad habit here in our country. We have a habit of bargaining for everything. Even we bargain for Rs 10 per kg vegetable to have it for Rs 8 per KG. Because of this very tendency of shoppers, sellers often increase the price beforehand, as they know shoppers will bargain & this cycle never ends. This bargaining habit creates a vicious cycle where you can't ever be assured of the genuine price of an item quoted by the shopkeeper.

                            I am a seller as well as a shopper and ashamed of such a petition.

                                This is odd, but if you go to petition and post some comment against views of the guy who started the petition, he gets it deleted. :D
                                He is running some tech channel and may want to grab some attention, likes & subscribers.

                                For those who have issues with pricing, Just wait for a bank offer or sale or a few months for the price to fall and get it at a discounted price. What's the point in begging for a price cut.

                                    Don't sign the petition. First check the specs and price of samsung galaxy A80.
