There's a petition demanding a Redmi K20 price cut in India

20 July 2019
The petition asks a price tag of INR 20,000 as it offers less storage and RAM compared to other phones in the same price bracket.

This is Flagship and Premium Midrange. If everyone cannot afford so it does not mean that price is wrong.

Issue is that if you don't like just leave it and go for other devices.

The Indian Tech is very young. Cheap Internet and Half-Knowledge YouTubers and GIVEAWAYs make the situation worst for both Gen Y & Z and especially Gen Z.

There are some Tech Experts who were trying to justify the price on Twitter. These kinds of Lunatic are ranting that they were paid.

Xiaomi India is also in development of their R&D Facility. So they can provide new products and tech. Xiaomi also have employees and their families. Atleast don't be so greedy.

Xiaomi is one of the most honest brands for pricing.
They also clarified for pricing later.

Mi doesn't deserve that price ta and it's overly priced. Don't ask price cut, already the ads are intolerable. They may cut the price and show more ads

And someone should make a petition asking Samsung, Apple, LG and Sony to reduce prices by K20 Pro price

This is stupid, the person who started is stupid. K20 is a bargain for the price, Xiaomi is doing business not running an NGO and other phones which offer 128GB for INR 20000 have lower specs than Redmi, look at Realme X, 3 Pro and OPPO F11 all have lower specs while K20 is what you can say a flagship with top of the line mid range SoC
It has flagship quality triple cameras while its competitors offer lower camera or just dual with one depth sensor, bezeless OLED with UD FPS and a large battery with one of the most beautiful design and it even has USB C

If the Redmi K20 had a microSD card slot, this wouldn't be a problem now would it? :P

Xiaomi MUST NOT bring the price down. There's a particular price point beyond which the "resellers" won't hoard units in order to sell them at higher prices, like in a typical black market setting. Case in point, the Redmi Note 7 Pro - was always sold out from the official site, and always available on OLX and similar sites for an additional 3000 / 4000 INR. Why? Because those prices of 13,999 and 16,999 are price points where the demand is the most extreme, implying absolute assurance of units being sold at slightly higher prices. However, come 23k-24k, these hoarders / resellers don't have the same assurance since adding a markup of 3k /4k Indian over and above the base price pushes the price point well into a much smaller demand pool.

Xiaomi has done the absolute right thing - this device will be available for most individuals to buy and hoarders will hesistate to resell with additional markup.

I feel so ashamed of my countrymen for making such a post. Mi is not doing charity selling in India.

Whoever made the petition and those who agree with it have a very cheap mindset. This is an upper mid range phone. If you can't afford it just buy something else rather than whine about it. Crazy stupid idiots who support the ridiculous petition.

This petition just shows Indians as cry babies that if they don't like the price of a product they will whine about it and try to force the company to change its price rather than ignore the product in question and buy something else like sensible people.

This isn't some life saving medicine that should be affordable but a upper mid range phone.
