As an Indian, I must say this is a st*pid petition. If you do not like the price of a phone, then don't buy it. No one is forcing you to buy one.
Apple's phone prices are also so wildly varying but nobody complains about it.

I think the problem with some users especially Indian users is they think if a smartphone got a flagship soc it's a great phone they don't look at other aspects of that phone like display, build quality, etc. a good example is poco. this phone got great hardware with upper midrange soc. k20 is a great value phone. xiaomi profit margin is already so thin if they discount it even further they will lose a lot of profit.
some users nowadays they care about numbers more than anything that's why dxomark,geekbench are that popular.

The price hike started from 7A.In china 7A the price is CNY549, while in india it is 5999 with Rs.200 discount on behalf of 5yrs anniversary.It always has been china pricing multiplied by 10.They are saying they have to pay import taxes,thats why they have to hike the price.It looks like suddenly the Indian government hiked the import taxes.Previously localization was less compared to now & import precentage was more compared to now.So why the sudden hike? Something is not adding up OR they upped their marketing budget.

this is the most stupid thing ive ever heard... as if people have the capacity of changing the price of a particular tech device. LOL! i guess only in india. deal with it, otherwise, get a different phone.

Why are these people signing petitions for a price cut, really stupid isn't it. Just buy another phone instead if that is better and suits your needs.

I'm proud on those who filed the petition and are signing it, I personally wanted to switch to K20 pro and was expecting price equally to China. But felt disappointed with the Indian pricing so didn't buy one. If they'll match the china price then I'm in.

People who all complaining about the quality of mi or redmi phones please stop buying their phone if you are not satisfied. If their phone is not of good quality then why waste money??
I saw some comments like they should improve the quality or price it fairly as it has issues. If the device is of less quality or has issues then you should not invest in it. Thats it. You have to pay more to get Quality & quantity together.
I Wish the petitioner loses it badly....

This is stupid instead of demanding lower price for high end smartphones which cost more than a heart and kidney they are asking price cut for most friendly phone available
Competitors which sell 128GB at INR 20000 have lower specs look at Realme X, 3 Pro and OPPO F11

This is got to be the dumbest petitions. I have seen some really stupid petitions in recent times ... thanks to change.org, which has become a joke nowadays with people having nothing to do, just keep creating stupid petitions day in day out ... but this one crosses the limits of stupidity.
